They shot Botox into the valve at the bottom of the stomach. She has lost 15 pounds since the lung surgery.
It sounds like stomach problems are pretty normal after a lung transplant, but it usually clears up on its own. As her mom says, Mackenzie needs a break.

I hope Mackenzie's stomach problems do clear up soon. Her Mom is right, she certainly needs a break.

Murph did you ever make it to the Farmer's Market? We have one here on Thursday's in the mall parking lot.

Good morning, Allbodies. I hope your day is a good one.

Liz--I finally figured out which day was Saturday and made it to the Farmer's Market. I was very disappointed. There were only 6 booths and one was selling home made dog treats and another was selling crochet dish scrubbers. It will pick up in a few weeks. I had heard that there were people selling bread, cinnamon rolls, home made jellies and jams, etc. Maybe they just come sometimes.

My day is going to be so exciting! First, I have to finish cleaning litter boxes, then bring the dumpster in from the road, then I may read this morning's paper (all 12 pages) and then fold clothes. The biggest thrill of the day will be taking the dogs to the vet for their shots and stopping for Jr Burgers at Snnic if they behave (that is, if they don't insist on driving).

Just stopping by to say hello to all who post here! I hope u all have a great week. I sounds like its about to storm here and its a bit chilly today.

Murph, what kind of dogs do u have? I have a dachshund beagle mix, he is so adorable. I didnt use to be much of a dog person, i have 3 cats, but about 3 years ago, he showed up barking at our window in the middle of the night. I ended up calling the dog catcher, but when i called to check if the owner picked him up, he was still there. My daughter and my bf begged me to let them have it. I really wanted to lie and say his owner picked him up and he was fine, but i just couldnt lie! So, now we have him and i love him so much. He's like my little best friend, he cries if i leave the house, and people think we r nuts, cause we dont go anywhere without him.

He sounds like a little sweetie!
I don't know what kind of dogs mine are. Murphy looks like a black Lab, only she has shorter legs than a Lab. Marley looks just like my daughter's dog who is a Westie-Poo, only Marley is bigger. They both came to me hungry. Murphy was pregnant when she came. She delivered 8 healthy puppies and one stillborn.
She looked so strange because she was hungry and her ribs stuck out, but she was so full of puppies her belly nearly dragged on the ground Marley was just a baby when I got her.

They both got their shots this morning and met a 172 pound St Bernard.

Good Morning Ladies,

Murph after al that trouble it sucks that there wasn't anything exciting at the Farmer's Market.

You mentioned going to Sonic. It was just in the paper here that Sonic is coming to Rochester within the next couple of years. I've never been to one. Is it along the lines of a McDonalds?

Breaking news........I was in the dollar store yesterday and they have new bags. That makes me happy since most of the time mine broke before making it into the house.

Jordan your dog story reminds me of the dog we had when I was a teenager. A girl in my drivers ed class had puppies and I told her I would take one ( never asked my parents). School was ending so she gave me the dog when it was only 5 weeks old. My Mom who didn't like the idea of a dog ended up bottle feeding the dog and then they became best buddies. If Mom was away the dog would just sit by the window and wait for her to come home. If my parents were away on vacation the dog would barely eat until they came home.

Good morning, Allbodies. I hope you have a lovely day. It is really nice here, not hot yet, and the birds are doing their morning concert.

Liz--Yes, Sonic is a lot like McDonalds. Instead of ordering at a window and moving to a different window to get your food, you park and order at a speaker and it is delivered to your car. At early Sonics, the servers were on roller skates. I have seen them on roller skates here, but not very often.

I am excited. My cousin is coming to visit tomorrow. I haven't seen her since Memorial Day weekend. Plus--she's bringing pork n bean bread. I Love that stuff.

GS had his appointment with the specialist in Wichita today. He is doing the surgery on July 29, and GS will be in a sling for 4 weeks. This is Not how he planned to spend his summer! The good part in, the doctor said he won't have to go to therapy afterward because the exercises are so simple, he can do them on his own.
(Which I hope is Not like studying the ACT book on his own).

Murph that's good new about GS not needing therapy afterwards.

Is it Pam who's coming? I never heard of pork and bean bread. What is it?

Good morning, Allbodies. I hope you have a lovely day.

Liz--yes, it is Pam who is coming. She is bringing albums of old photos of my grandfather's side of the family, going waaay back, and one of my grandmother's side of the family, going waaaay back. They are two of the very few things left after the tornado.

Pork n bean bread is similar to zucchini bread or pumpkin bread. The pork n beans provide the moisture and it is a very moist bread. She puts black walnuts in it.

Good Morning All

Murph the bread sounds delicious. Hope you and Pam had a good visit.

I've seen the Sonic commercials before. It seems like they have a bunch of different drinks and ice cream desserts on the menu. The commercials have been playing here for years, yet there's no Sonic's in the area.

Do you have Golden Corral there? I haven't been yet but open just opened up here a couple months ago.

Good afternoon, Allbodies. I hope you are having a lovely Friday.

Liz, unfortunately, we don't have a Golden Corral. There is one in Bartlesville,OK, and one in Joplin, and they are both wonderful. OMG--the first time I tried their pot roast, it was just like my grandmother used to make.

Good Morning.

Murph what did you do this weekend? Today I have plans to do some yard work and maybe clean the garage out. Not sure how far I'll get with the yard since it looks like it might storm later. Temps here are suppose to reach 90 today.

Did anyone see the super moon last night? I went out to look at it and think I saw part of it. It was hard to tell. We have a ton of large trees in the direction the moon seemed to be in so it was difficult to tell. However I did see part of something large and bright thru the leafs( could have been a neighbor's security light in the distance, who knows,LOL).

Good morning, Allbodiees. I hope you have a great day.

I saw the moon--it was quite bright and, at the time I walked out, was right above my Red Maple tree.

This weekend I am trying to get a flower bed weeded. My neighbor loaned me her Hula Hoe and I like it for the small weeds. Still have to try to grip a serrated blade butcher knife for the tougher weeds. This is a bed that I used to weed in an hour. I have worked on it Friday evening and off and on yesterday, and still nowhere near finished.

Good Morning All

The super moon was suppose to be out last night too and I forgot to look. I read somewhere's that the super moon only comes once a year. This is the first time I ever heard of it.

Murph I was weeding too yesterday but only stayed out for about 30 minutes. It was wicked hot out.
