Hi, Beat. We had a lovely day here, warm and sunny. DIL and I just looked at the 10-day forecast and it looks like Son and his bride will have a lovely day (71) for their wedding next Saturday.
We are supposed to get rain turning to snow on Tuesday.

Good morning everyone.

Mother Nature pulled a good trick on us for the first day of April.
She gave us more snow and high winds! but, At least the sun is shining.

For some reason every bone in my body aches.
I am seriously considering crawling back into bed.
How boring is that?

Have a good day ladies.

Good Monday Morning Marley lol! Say that 10x's fast. You're just over Lake Erie from us. We have the same. It's the wind that keeps me from going out though. It wrecks my hair lol. Have a great day no matter what you do!

Good Morning Ladies

We had snow yesterday and again last night.

Murph I'm glad it sounds like your son will have a nice day for his wedding. Do you have your shoes and the outfit all set to go? What color are you wearing?

Good morning,Liz. We are supposed to get rain turning to snow today.
I have the outfit and shoes (strange mix of aqua and navy dress that looks like a 3 piece but is realy one piece)
--aqua top and jacket, navy skirt and navy shoes). I don't like it, but the bride approved.

I have a feeling this is going to be a huge reception. The bachelor party was about 40. The bride's night out turned out to be Quite Large. I have a feeling that the 'family get together' on Friday evening is going to be much larger than the 50 we originally talked about.

Good morning, Allbodies. I hope you have a great day. After a beautiful Easter Sunday, it is 37 right now and drizzing. Rain/snow is forecast for today.
This would be a good day to stay at home but, when I got my hair cut on Friday, I think she missed a part, so I have to go back at 12:45 and have her work on it.

Well, I have sat here 8 hours, waiting for someone to tell me 'good morning'.

Friday, when I got my hair cut, she didn't cut the top short enough so I went back this afternoon and she fixed it.

Marley, I showed the picture to everyone at our coffee minute, and they were amazed.

Good night, Angels. Love all y'all.

Sorry I'm late but GOOD MORNING

Your outfit sounds nice. Do you know for sure yet how many were invited to the rehearsal dinner? Our's turned out to be like a mini reception and instead of the grooms family planning it we ended up doing it. Between the rehearsal and the reception I had menu's swirling around in my head for weeks. By the time the big day arrived my daughter and I were down each others throats and just needed it all to be over with.

Speaking of dresses..........Listen to this fiasco. My daughter wanted to make sure her MIL wore something appropriate to the wedding and that whatever it was it wasn't white. So any time we were all together I would ask if she had a dress yet and up until a couple of weeks before the wedding she was always " still looking". So I emailed her a few pic's of dresses ( lol, ones my daughter would like for her) and she wrote back saying they weren't really her style. At that point what more could I do? Write her back and say " I know but we wanted them to be your style.
The dress she ended up getting was fine.

Good morning, Liz and Allbodies. I hope you have a great day.

Liz, the original number for the rehearsal dinner was 50. Now, I don't know because the brides out-of-town friends are invited too.
I was having nightmares about it last night. Murphy jumped up on the bed and hurt my back, but having the back pain was better than the nightmare. It had something to do with individual merangue deserts that had some kind of little chocolote drizzle over the top.

I don't care what anyone says. These weddings are stressful and not too much fun. I don't think I relaxed until after dinner was over and we were done greeting everyone. After that I just had one drink after another and didn't want to know about anything. Murph don't worry it will all be over in a couple days.

PS.........Now this was true and not Just a nightmare.
First the day of the wedding when we were all at the salon getting hair and make-up done my sister texts me. Noah went to put his tux on and there weren't any pants in the garment bag. My older son had to quick run to the mall and get the pants. Can you imagine my daughter walking down the aisle and seeing him with standing there with a suitcoat and a pair of boxers on? She would have flipped. We never told her about the pants fiasco until after the honeymoon.

Then to top it off we had that wedding tent on the golf course. Right after dinner was over it started storming and there were severe winds. It was awesome. The band had all their electrical equipment and started playing in a couple of inches of water. About the same time the wind came thru and the fans and light fixtures in the tent were swaying and the tent itself looked like it was ready to collapse. The workers had to quick and shuttle all the guest inside to the club house on golf carts while it was storming. Everyone was soaked. What a mess.

Good morning Liz, and Murph.
48 degrees Yippee! Maybe spring is trying to get here. It was 33 yesterday, and we had teeny tiny snowflakes flying in the air.
Hey? Where to heck is everybody else?
Time to give em hell Murphy girl!
.....Well at least click your pen at em!
:)
Glad to see you can quit worrying about your wedding clothes.
Have you thought what you might say if they pass a microphone around during the reception? It would be the perfect time to tell a good joke? heeehe
It would serve them right for making you get all dressed up.
snork

It's too bad it rained on the wedding day Liz.
You must have been mentally worn out by the time it was over.

Did you hire a male escort for the wedding Murph?
Have him wear a pink 70's style polyester tux, purple cumberbund, ruffled shirt open at the neck and lots of gold chains. Maybe a guy with some of those digusting earrings that stretch his earlobes into flapping jump ropes.
I'm pretty sure they won't make you stand around for pictures before OR after the wedding.
Can I help you out with any other suggestions?

I tease the bride's daughter a Lot. If they stick a microphone in my hand I think I will welcome 'my two new grandchildren, Brent and Whatshername."

Two nights ago, Murphy hurt my back For some reason, she got up on my side of the bed. I was having a horrible nightmare at the time, so I was grateful that she woke me up. My back has been a ravin' biotch ever since.
At 2 o'clock I had therapy--in the pool. The therapist floated me around on the noodles and massaged my back while I was floating. Oh,it felt So good! I got in my car and started to back out and this young woman across from me jumped in her car. I thought surely she culd see that I was backing out. Nope. She gunned it, I honked 3 times and still she nailed me.

The therapist called right after I got home and said, "Are you ok?" I told her I was. I said, "I honked 3 times and Still she nailed me." She said, "She lives in her own little world." She asked if my car was damaged. I told her it wasn't, but the other woman's fender was badly dented--But, she said it had been dented for a while." Therapist said, "Wonder why!"
She said she scheduled a place for me tomorrow if I need to come in.

Good Morning Ladies

Murph Happy Rehearsal Day!!!!!!

Sorry about your car getting hit but it was nice of the therapist to offer to see you today if needed.

Marley the guy's you're describing to be Murph's escorts sound like a couple of my prom days.

Murph go stag. You don't need some guy tagging along and besides you should be free to do what you want. Dance on the tables, sing with the band,.........whatever.

And don't worry about outshining the bride. You have it going on so flaunt it.
