Have y'all heard of Tommy Copper compression gloves? I had never heard of them, but son and DIL got me a pair for an early Christmas gift. They can be worn night and day and are machine washable. Don't know yet whether they are helping.

It is nearly over, this tragic year
So filled with worry and loss and fear
And horror and shock and pain and grief
And reading headlines beyond belief.
But through the darkness, every day
There was a light that came our way.
For some it came as a call from a firend,
Or the song of a bird or the giggle of a kid,
Or a cuddle with a dog--but shine it did.
This light shone on Cajun and Liz and Ruby and Jean
Whether that light was felt or seen.
It shone on Mousie and Marley and Shuaw and Gaye
It shone on all of us, every day.
It shone on Snarky and Jane and Missy and Beat.
Whether through a joke, or hug, or flower or song,
Every day that light shone on.
It lightened the hearts of Country and Tribe and Covcas and Race
And Hopeful, Florida Night Shift and Maggie and Same
And other folks I have forgotten to name.
No matter the darkness that is all about,
This is a light that will not go out.
We need to hold on, and hold on tight
To that beautiful and wonderful
And glorious
LIGHT.

Murph you are so sweet. Love you to death.
I was just thinking about so many of you
that I would love to meet.
And guess what one day we will..
Some people fear death but myself as I get older
I keep thinking what a wonderful day that will
be.
You have been such a friend during the past years
and I look for your post every time I get on this
puter.
I wish you and your family the very best.

Ha! Ha! For awhile, some years ago,...I drove a red trans am. I was taking my 13 year old son to a friends house out near the college. We had the radio turned up and singing TNT I'm dynomite! Lock up your daughters, lock up your wives....We were snorking and thinking it hilarious when an AVID cop pulled me over, even tho I had done nothing wrong.! You should have seen the shocked look on his face when he saw ME driving. I think he thought he had himself a couple of long haired hippie types! All he could stutter out was " ah, turn the radio down Miz?" please?"

In later years, when my son was married...guess what ONE of his tribute songs was to his dear mother?.....HER tribute song to HER Mothra was, "I hope you dance." Notice I said one.

I'm plodding along tonight...wrapping presents,...wondering if I've done enough.

Remembering the things the grands have said.

Miss Lindsay when seeing the stitches on my upper back, began to tell me in a very animated way, that her name is adshully Dr, Iindsay Wella, black stitches are no good,....she would give me blue stitches to get better quick.

Little Monty and I shared a dinner at McDonalds where he told me, Don't eat here often Gwamma, you need vegetables too.

I had company the livelong day It was absolutely wonderful, but really wore me out.

After I had gone to bed (Early) Nevaeh came, bringing a Christmas gift bag for the dogs. There are several squeaky toys and a rope-pull toy, and several balls. One is like tennis ball, only harder. She was calling it the tennis shoe ball. Murphy immediately claimed the rope-pull toy as hers. Marley acted a little timid about it all.(And Timid isn't Any part of that dog).

I told daughter, "Look at those dogs sniffing her jacket pockets, seeing if she has any g-u-m." Nevaeh said, "I don't have any g-u-m."

SHe gave me the sweetest hug and said, "I will see you on Christmas, Big Mama."
I told her, "I look forward to it, Nevaeh."
She said, "I look forward to it, Big Mama."

I once walked into a store with 3 teenage grands. The manager gave us a dirty look and said, "What are you kids looking for?"
I said, "Excuse me?"
He said, "Oh.... Good morning maam. Is there anything I could help you with?" Jerk!!!!

I am So glad that he kanow that a heart can sing!-And that he recognizes it when he is with you.

This gives me good material for laying a guilt trip on my grandsons.

Wow, I have had so many helpers yesterday and today that just about everything is done. Daughter did my Christmas Eve and Christmas Day grocery shopping for me, God bless her. GS just vacuumed.

Today the swelling in my leg is way down, but now I can't turn my head. I told Daughter I wanted her to play Patsy Cline's "I Fall To Pieces" at my funeral.

Hi Beat! Good to see you! How is Mr. Beatnick? Did you get him some licorice this year?

We were singing a rousing rendition of dashing through the snow as we drove to Mickey D's at the top of our lungs. Poor kid didn't know if his heart was singing or just getting an echo! Haha

We did get maybe 4 or 5 inches of snow that made driving and visibility a little tricky. But it is sunny today, and it is melting off a little.

I'm glad you had help! There is so much to do. I hope they come tomorrow and help get the table set too.
My niece and my Sis will come tomorrow to help me get the table pulled out and the boards put in, then we have to wrestle all the chairs around...set up the extra table in the living room, give the Christmas dishes a quick rinse in the dishwasher, add some of my sisters silverware to mine. I just have a service for 12....etc., etc.....
I gotta run out one more time tomorrow:( I washed the shower curtain and it fell apart! Also wanted to pick up scratch off tickets to hide in the Christmas tree along with chocolate Santas for the kids.

Maybe you are like my shower curtain and are falling apart because you have washed yourself to much?
I'm sorry to hear that your aches and pains are still running amuck on you.
