<quoted text>Morning, An. He needs to shoot himself and let it all be over. Not one more word in the press about him, no liaison to pamper his ass for killing people and terrorizing everyone.
His family should have no opportunity to sue the police for killing him. If he was a stand up guy like he's trying to portray himself, he would end this with one shot to his head.
He's not going to shoot himself & he's not going to surrender. He wants to go down in a blaze of glory & think of himself as a martyr, just like all these cowards do.

I cannot believe the stuff I'm reading here. How anyone could think this guy is a hero or a poor, misunderstood guy makes my blood run cold.

How anyone can think the way to redress a grievance is by killing people who had nothing to do with it is beyond my reasoning.

Really really pisses me off. I am very glad I don't know any of these people in RL.

Yes or maybe he can continue to gun down innocent victims whose family members might have been associated with police. I hope no member of your family has been involved with a disgruntled employee who decides to murder you instead. If that hypothetical murderer comes after you, I hope your police force doesn't feel handicapped by your comments.
What have you done in your life to be so leery of law enforcement?
As to date, there aren't any more victims.
The LAPD chief released a statement to Dorner that the department would re-evaluate his termination.
So negotiations are in progress that is good.
You are completely taking everything I post out of context and twisting it to your satisfaction.
Do you want to see more blood? Or do you want a peaceful solution?
I choose the latter for all who are involved.

In Dorner's mind, he has lost everything because everything to Donner is his good name and the truth.
If he surrenders it should be in a highly public place with a liaison.
Last night you wondered if Dorner set fire to his truck 'to save innocent people'. I don't understand how you made that connection, but why would you say that?

Was he trying to save innocent people when he murdered the young couple, who have nothing to do with this, in cold blood? They were his first victims.

I can't understand your thinking. But then I never could.

Considering who I was replying to, I took it in somewhat of a different context, but I have to agree with you. Sometimes it takes a "mob" to foresee justice. To do nothing at all is apathy. Although many don't like or agree with unions today, but back in the 1920s and 30s, when employers treated their workers unfairly and unjustly; when working conditions were so horrible and workers were poorly paid for hard labor and unsafe working conditions, mobs of people thronged into the streets demanding justice.
I caught the drift to whom you were replying, lol. Had I made that reply directly to her it might have gone over her head :)

Like many things, mob mentality is a double edge sword.

The police obviously panicked. I agree that every precaution should have been taken to avoid harming any innocent people. They want to get Dorner badly, and with good reason. I sincerely hope the victims shot will recover fully from their injuries with no permanent damage. They should be compensated for their suffering. Just the same, none of this would have happened if Dorner hadn't been so selfish, irresponsible and thoughtless. It's all up to him to end this, and he can do it like a real man, by giving himself up and not hurting any more people.
The two women were not seriously hurt, thank goodness. The police should certainly have followed procedure, but all cops in the area are working double shifts. Many cops had to be diverted to protect the families of the people Dorner named as his intended victims.

Everyone is on edge & is twitchy. But they need to be very, very careful that they've found the right person.

I wonder if may have committed suicide already. I would think he would have surfaced by now. Maybe the two innocent women being shot made him finish it alone somewhere, where he thinks he won't be found
We can only hope. I don't want his family to profit because he went on a rampage and had to be shot by LE.

did you notice the video of Casey in the upper left corner? It's kind of pathetic that they are trying to keep cashing in by linking Jodi to Casey.

I don't want him to be taken alive. I want him dead and not hear another word about his bullshit grievance.

I'm sick of all the innocent ppl/kids being slaughtered because some nutjob thinks that's the only way to get the worlds attention.

They definitely should not be negotiating with this ass.

Negotiations?? What are you talking about? They don't even know where this guy is.

What PEACEFUL SOLUTION? There is no solution to this problem until this man is caught & arrested. The time for a peaceful solution was BEFORE he killed that innocent young couple last week.

No, no one is taking what you say out of context. You are quite clear in your sentiments.

I don't like the mob mentality aspect, either. Dorner seemed to have a lot going for him. His background was impressive, and even though he lost his job, he had a lot of training and experience. He has been known to be quick tempered and hot headed. Too bad for him he didn't try to cool off first. Now he has ruined his life forever, and that's a shame. But my heart goes with his victims who died needlessly; all because of his anger and resentments. What a fool he is to have thrown all that he ever worked for, out the window. Whatever injustice he felt was put on him, there was no reason to kill innocent people for it. Now he has more then injustice to live with, he has the blood on his hands of those he murdered. Sad.
If the manifesto is correct Dorner felt he had lost everything when he was terminated but instead of killing people he could have filmed a documentary or took his grievances elsewhere and exposed what he perceived as racial harassment and officers who abuse citizens.

Dorner mentioned the intimidation he took on the job maybe that was what pushed him over the edge.
But anyway let's hope no more people are shot down over Dorner's termination.

if he kills himself somewhere hidden and his body is never found then the LAPD will not get to be the winner and they will be looking over their shoulders for a very long time.

I don't think they will negotiate. What is there to negotiate? Even if this man was unjustly fired from LAPD, what gives him the right to kill & terrorize? Every day people lose their jobs, their wives walk out on them, they get mad at the guy at the gas station -- but they DON'T KILL others.

The fact that some people are cheering this deadly asshole on makes me realize that this is now how we think in this country. Feel like you're wronged? Take a hostage. Really, really wrong? Kill them.

Yay!

I can't understand your thinking. But then I never could.
Let me explain why.
Dorner views LAPD as the enemy he may see himself as a crusader. It's quite possible Dorner in his delusional mind feels he is doing a service by taking out members of LAPD who he believes abuses innocent citizens.

Remember he was in the military trained to protect civilians.

If Dorner has any type of access to communication and watched the news about two elderly woman who had 30 to 40 rounds fired at them for driving a truck like his he may have burnt it.

I read this morning though the police thought the truck could have had a broken axle when Dorner abandoned it.
But now the police think the axle was broken while the truck was put on a wrecker. If that's the case and the truck was running fine, then Dorner may not be in the mountains at all.

Why would you think Dorner is a crusader? He has publicly written that he wants to kill as many cops as possible AND THEIR FAMILIES to pay for what he thinks was done to him.

No one in the military is trained to protect civilians. The military prepares you for battle. Dorner has said he will use all the offensive tactics he learned in the Navy & in police work.

You see this man as a victim, and it boggles the mind.
