If you are aware of IRS regulation, then surely you understand what power the IRS holds to filing LIENS on property?

What property was this lien filed on?

Here's an opportunity for you to do some digging and report Casey Anthony for Bankruptcy Fraud is she still owns it!

You believe everything you read in the media, right?

A tax lien was filed against Casey Anthony on May 17.
May 26, 2011|By Bianca Prieto, Orlando Sentinel
The IRS filed a federal tax lien against Casey Anthony earlier this month, claiming she owes over $68,000 in back taxes.

The lien was filed on May 17 in Osceola County and lists her address at 522 Simpson Road, her attorney Jose Baez's Kissimmee office.

The document states the assessment was performed on Nov. 1 and she owes an unpaid balance of $68,520.41.

Casey Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the 2008 death of her daughter Caylee Marie Anthony. The defense claims the child accidentally drowned on June 16, 2008.

There is no evidence Casey Anthony held a job in 2008. She was in and out of jail between July and October. She has been held at the Orange County Jail since she was indicted on first-degree murder in October 2008.

That year attorney Jose Baez struck a deal with ABC to sell Anthony family home videos and photos for $200,000. It's unclear who ABC paid, but the money was reportedly used to pay defense costs.

If ABC paid Casey Anthony directly, she could owe taxes on that payment.

Pretty good.

There is a Skype session underway right now on how to best strategically proceed.

If they did, I'm filing bankruptcy after I pile up three years of tax debt, lol.
If Baez had POA and handled the money for babykiller, could he get into trouble for not filing or paying the taxes for her?

Yes, but the taxpayer has the right of suing the person or company who they handed responsibility to, for mismanagement of their financial affairs if there is cause for negligence.
In this scenario there certainly is, IF the IF story is factual.
You're correct. The IRS doesn't give a damn who she's going to take court. The 68K stands for her.

I read it in the news. Adam Longo reported he got the inside scoop and even talked to Casey Anthony on the phone.

Don't you believvvvvvvve everything you read in the news?

*******

Additionally, according to the bankruptcy documents filed, the possible financial claims against Anthony include:

$500,000 - Attorney Jose Baez
$60,505 - Florida Department of Law Enforcement
$68,540 - Internal Revenue Service
$10,283 - Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation
$145,660 - Orange County Sheriff's Office
Anthony's total assets, according to the 60-page filing are listed at less than $1,100, and her liabilities total more than $792,119.

Not necessarily tax debt whose inception was incurred indirectly and while in government custody.

Is it taxable income? Absolutely.

Was it Casey's income? Let's see the check!

Yeah no kidding. Because now they're alleging negligence on behalf of the attorney who allegedly filed the UNsigned bankruptcy documents.

Look out for a slander lawsuit to be coming down!

And I'm making the point that the ABC 200k deal didn't take place until after Lenamon entered and left the picture -- which was AFTER the capital murder indictment.
So no, Chuck, Casey was not "out on bail at that time" when the ABC monies were dispersed to Jose Baez.
She was in jail, under 24/7 government custody, and there wasn't anything she could do about the IRS's cut.
There is no way ABC would have dispersed money to Bozo without babykiller's signature on a power of attorney or other legal document. Signing a POA makes Bozo responsible for the choices he makes but doesn't absolve babykiller from her responsibilities.

I've had power of attorney for someone living overseas in a high-risk area. Just because I took on certain responsibilities doesn't mean the other person no longer had them.

You're avoiding my question - if you believe Casey owed $68,000 to the IRS, then what's the property the IRS filed the lien on and why didn't Casey disclose it in her UNsigned bankruptcy claim?

To add to what I posted. I had a duty to inform and get approval whenever possible before taking action. No matter how Bozo tries to spin what happened, he either did not inform babykiller of her responsibilities or he continued as POA after she refused to allow him to act - by paying the taxes.

Both of them should be in a world of trouble for the way this was handled.

But I am aware of one example where "they are not my employer" where tax is required to be withheld upfront and the example is gambling winnings.
No, gambling winnings are not withheld by the casino. The IRS has agents in the casinos to get the money right off the top. They don't trust gamblers to pay later.

Yeppers! Chair is obviously a Prop from ther Honey I Shrunk The Kids Movie - the backdrop just another prop borrowed from the Scenic Design Dept. Notice the strpas of top she is wearing in the chair does not coincide with the tanless straps marks of those shown where she is clad in the blue shower curtain.

As an aside.... I wonder did she use Duct Tape to keep the strapless shower curtain from slipping - Or did she just rely on her enormous clavicles to do the job..

While we're at it, let's see who issued the cheque!

That Casey owned back tax from a $200,000 deal Jose Baez brokered is purely speculation, based on nothing more than an assumption.

We don't!

LOL I was on the phone, let me try that again.

I think he could. Depends on what stipulations the POA has. For example: I only request limited POA..like I can talk to the IRS on my clients behalf, but I won't make any decisions for them.
