I would hope the judges notice according to trial testimony and the defense's Appeal Brief that:
Detective Yuri Melich
Sergeant Wells, and
Detective Appling.

........were present in the room at Universal Studios during the interrogation of Casey Anthony.

Yet according to the DCA Answer Brief present were:
Detctive Yuri Melich,
Detective Appling Wells and
Sergeant John Allen.

Therefore I don't see how they the could not grant a retrial because police officers presence who were or not reeks of potentiial corruption.

I also think it's a positive sign both Brief and Amswer have been posted on the home page of the 5dca, for the public to read.
