Totally agree Clayton! The guy is probably pretty upset that his monkey escaped. Being charged with him escaping is just a waste of paper.

To me it is the same as when you are given a ticket for an accident. I totally understand getting tickets when you have intentionally something WRONG, but if you ave an ACCIDENT, which can happen to even the safest of drivers, why do you have to be charged with something on top of it?

AS if you wanted to run your car into something and have all the headaches that come with it.

I would rather see tickets issued to the people that sit at short lights talking on their phone and then not moving when the light changes. Or the dummy that gets up to the register and says the price on something is ten cents too high and makes everyone else wait while the price is checked.

Let's give tickets to the stupid people in the world.

How about charging PETA with a crime for causing the monkey to escape? But no, then they'll go after the police for "mis-treating" police dogs.

Monkey...mon key....just trying to see if it's bleeped out. Odd and hard to comment on this story with the main 'character' bleeped out.

I'd like to know more about what specifically happened during the disagreement. It seems from this story as though PETA could be responsible, at least partially, for the monkey's escape, depending on their behavior.

I'd also like to know why the police charged this circus owner now, after the monkey has been loose for days. Is there something positive that the charge will accomplish? Or is it just that if there is a law, the police are supposed to enforce it?

And does "class 3" mean that an animal is dangerous, and if so, why is this monkey "class 3"? Guess I should check "the google."

Also wondering whether "monkey" will be bleeped out.

I must have missed this but what is the story with PETA being involved with this?

The circus was taking care of the monkey, it was PETA who scared him off. Charge them please.

Actually it appears the monkey is smarter than the Peta woman but than that might be an insult to the monkey. Peta people aren't very bright - they just have big mouths, bottled up anger and limited brain functions.

How ridiculous is it that we cannot us the word m o n k e y without it being bleeped out, when the story is about a m o n k e y ?? Anyway, why charge the circus owner? I can guarantee the owner did not ALLOW the m o n k e y to escape, that's why it's called escape, it happens unintentionally. Why aren't police officers and prison guards charged when prisoners escape????

Don't worry, if they don't catch him the frigid central Florida winter will! He should be OK for the rest of the season, but when fall comes and we get back to the cold weather, it will kill him. We have a group of wild monkeys, mom, dad and kids, living in the woods near the FLD airport, but its a lot warmer here in the winter so they have survive. good luck Reggie!

Casey didn't report her daughter missing for 31 days. At least this monkey owner is a responsible parent!

The PETA nut said "I did raise my voice because I was concerned that the monkey would get run over, but I never told the monkey to go the woods."
So now these PETA Freaks think they can communicate with animals???
and it is stupid PC idiocy that the word Monkey is censored.
I am sick of this.
uh huh

hahaha :)

Seriously though. I think its most likely that woman's fault that the primate in question escaped.( hehe I didn't say the "m" word). Ticketing the circus owner is just asinine for so many reasons.
