How is Floridas situation any different than other states that are shooting down residential restrictions?

Ahh Dp1 spoken like a true Liberal. In a perfect world, states rights should supercede Federal and local should supercede state. Why, I'll tell you why. Why am I paying and spending money on election issues and payrolls if my own county or city cant make laws and ordinances that the people of that city want? Each individual city has its own each idividual problems, but spoken like the state worker you are, you feel your powers are greater than mine. Now I realize a reckless city government can play havoc with a state problem, but that comes with the territory of locally elected officials. In the big picture local elections are the last vestages of "the people" having a say in their own communities. I read the huge headlines this am with Orlando's homeless problem. Now that was a hoot, your paper profiled two people who should by right have been deported a long time ago. Dont you see something terribly wrong with that expose'? I havent read one sensational headline in the last month about homelessness or sex offenders that profiled one "homegrown American Citizen" but we sure have a boatload of Julio's making the front page with their tales of woe. A line is about to be drawn and yes my STATE has issues Vermont does not have..so therefore I'll be damned if Vermont is going to make policies for Florida...thats my two cents..

Plus we know the further one goes up the food chain in government its written in stone how self-serving, corrupt, inefficient and useless it is. With local governments at least the people have a fighting chance (sometimes) to keep a shock collar on some of these officials, which keeps tabs on state agencies like yours.

Think about it...this state mandated a long time ago the death penalty was warranted for the most egregious crimes...and God only knows this state sure has seen its fair share of them.

But what did we get? An attorney General who came out like a bulldog, ran for Governor (won) and now has slithered into a useless high paid do-nothing figurehead. I get the feeling Dp1 it would be ok with you if the Department of Corrections would be the reigning law and policy maker in this state and you didnt have people like me calling your agency down for ineptness and complacency...you already get the largest part of the budget and you see what you have done with that? Now you want ME to let YOU make policy on sex offenders? Not without a fight...I have seen first hand what Probation officers have done in my city..they have been reckless and lazy and downright dangerous, along with all the other Law Enforcement agencies that as a collective "can fly under the radar" "keep their head down" and count the days until they are elgible for the "drop program"..meanwhile my kids are being systematically (spelling) fed to these guys..I cant go thru this world and lay on my death bed without at least attempting to make you guys live up to those pretty "Mission Statements" on your homepages...

Here is a good example of voodoo offender therapist and their miracle work:

Medication may subdue 'rape hound,' judge told
By Don Lajoie, The Windsor StarJuly 2, 2009
A psychologist whose assessment played a role in the statutory release of convicted sex offender Joseph Fredericks -- who later murdered a Brampton boy -- has testified that self-described Windsor "rape hound" Jeffrey Bastien shouldn't necessarily be declared a dangerous offender either.

Assistant Crown attorney Gary Nikota pounced on psychologist Ronald Langevin during Bastien's dangerous offender hearing Tuesday after the witness acknowledged that mistakes are sometimes made. Nikota immediately suggested that Langevin's assessment of Fredericks had been one such mistake.

"Joseph Fredericks was let out on statutory release and he abducted Christopher Stephenson," said Nikota, referring to the 11-year-old boy who was kidnapped from a shopping plaza in Brampton in June 1988 while he waited for his mother. "He sodomized him in a park because he couldn't wait. Then kept him in his house where he sodomized him again.... Then he killed him."

The boy was sexually assaulted three times in the 45-year-old pedophile's apartment before being taken to a field where he was found strangled and stabbed. His killer had been paroled on mandatory supervision and was under the care of a social worker. The boy's death led to the establishment of the Canadian Sex Offenders Registry, also known as Christopher's law.

I read where two drugs in conjunction with each other had the highest degree of success, especially for guys as profiled as above, think how nice it would be for the others???Anyway one of the drugs is banned and together they would be very very very expensive to administer...BUT they work...since therapist know about these drugs but cant administer them readily, they want you to think that what they do is helpful and puts a dent in re-offense rates..well they dont,,look around, tell me how well its going for us???But they are trying to convince you, they are the first line of defense in the treatment of this problem...what its boiled down to is subderma, stationary delivery of these drugs or a bullet, somebody needs to choose..

Needless to say I made my views known..If they are going to report then Report the entire truth, just how brutal the crimes these guys committed were..how the corrections system dumps them back off the very people they prey off of because they dont want to clothe, house, feed or bury them..jeez if they are going to report on this story, report all of it..

Can you show that every one you listed etc was NOT born in the USA? That everyone was an illegal or other immigrant status? Sounds like the kid from Calif, born in the USA, a citizen, deported due to his name. South Florida has a great big Latin Community and not everyone there was born outside the States. Prejudice by count of name only, one size fits all....

Can you spell the word "repatriate" how about "deport" if thats easier?

Dp1 I am so mad at you I could scream..I am not giving you one more foot of my neighborhoods to make room for these third world BASTARDS...now all these Law Enforcement agencies need to get off their lazy backsides and do the job we are paying them for, Period..there should be no more discussion on this issue, until this state takes out the trash..
