I am the girlfriend of the truck driver that was hit in the accident. No police were chasing the driver who was killed. It was an incredibly stupid thing that he did, but I feel terrible for his family and for the families of the other children involved. I thank God that no others were injured and am using this accident as a teaching tool for my 16 year old son.

Why should we have sympathy for a murderer? He got what he deserved. At least our tax money doesn't have to be wasted on him. The person who was murdered by him died in a terrible way, too.

I find it so amazing that on this site, we have all the friends, cousins, girlfriends, boyfriends and other family members of the deceased. They are all so heartbroken that they show their grief by posting here and trying to defend the actions of the subject at hand. It is sad that young people die but only because they were so young and stupid. They put themselves in that possition by their actions.

I am not a friend of any of the parties involved. Friend or not, YOU need to remember that everyone has their own way of dealing with grief. It is NOT wrong to make posts on here expressing how you feel. Is that NOT what a blog is all about?

I'm not the self centered one. The driver/murderer thought he was above the law, that he could kill someone and get away with it and that he could drive illegally on the shoulder to pass other vehicles. He showed no respect for anyone and he is the one that killed and injured the other parties in the vehicle.

By the way, last I knew, murder was punishable by death. So, he did get what he deserved and saved the taxpayers the court costs and the costs of carrying out his sentence. It's a win/win.

I know this is going to sound rude! BUT, I believe that you get what you deserve. It is too bad that more innocent lives had to be taken though. RIP to all that were taken out of this life far too early!

It will save tax payer money but it must leave a feeling of emptyness with the victims family and friends. They dont get the chance to face him in court. They dont get a chance to put it to rest. I think that is very rude and very mean to say about some one who is in this kind of position don't you

yall are so messed up for naming someone a thug,i understand he murdered somebody but why does that give him the name "thug"? some people are a trip, these people died, sure the man was being dumb for doing what he did but all you can think about is how he is a thug?and how u dont have to pay taxes?wtf is ur problems?I have known Mercedes since 3rd grade and Tayonte was in a class with me,and they were great people, fun to be around and always making the best out of everything. You dont have to show pitty for them, but dont sit around nd laugh at them..there isnt anything funny about the situation..Hello i understand that u dont have time to sit around and deal with a low life thug as you would put it,but keep those comments to yourself, dont post that on here, thats so rude and disrespectful. What is wrong with you people,u dont know what really happened,u weren't there,u didnt see this "thug" shoot anyone, all u hear about is stuff on the news the bad stuff,u never hear the good things..so as far as im concerned you should leave ur judgemental words in the hands of God because he is the only one who knows what truly happened on that night.

May God bless the families of Tayonte and Mercedes.Tayonte we hope you get better and Mercedes you are missed.R.I.P.

OK, so what should we call a murderer who has been on the run from the cops? A decent person? Ha! He friggin shot someone and he was driving recklessly which caused him to kill another person and severely injure someone else. That is not just doing something dumb. That is way beyond a mistake. He was a lowlife thug. Face it!
