Horrible officiating on both sides, magic had an ok game, Lakers did everything to win and magic still won. Ill take magic commentators over TNT'S and/or Espn. Dwight had a solid game despite the horrible calls, and jameer just kept tearing it up, like he usually does, in the 3rd qtr. Who esle do the magic need to beat before they get any respect, and plz no one use the fact that lakers played the night before, Kobe was pretty fresh going for 41 points, then again its the second time he scores that much in orlando and loses. GO MAGIC!!!!

You know it bigtime!

However, being humble and focusing on each game one at a time is not a bad approach, I love the fact that our team keeps it that way and know that they've got a long road

Forget those guys on ESPN and TNT, and I still want to know....does Charles Barkley still think the top 3 teams in the East are Boston, Cleveland, and DETROIT?

Wow.. I truly believe now that the Magic could win it all. With Pietrus back the bench will get deeper and if everyone stays healthy the rest of the season then we could be legit contenders for the crown. At the rate the Magic have been playing lately, I wouldn't doubt them beating teams like the Cavs and the C's.
Jameer just flat out proved me wrong. I doubted as most of us did at the start of the season of his ability to lead a contending team and here he is now playing like a top 3 guard in the league. He has made a believer out of me.
As for our depth which most "EXPERTS" at ESPN and TNT says as our glaring weakness I highly doubt that now. With the emergence of Gortat and Lee we could go 9 or even 10 deep and still be effective.
Howard is right, his injuries and even that of MP and Jameer early on was a blessing in disguise. It helped us develop our bench and now we reap the benefits! GO MAGIC!

Also for those Celtics fans claiming they defeated the Magic handily earlier in the season, you have to remember that Nelson and I believe Bogans was out of that game. If Nelson was there it would have been a really close game and the outcome could have gone either way.
Can't wait for the Magic to play the Cavs, Celtics and even Detroit. Also, the Hawks should be a formidable foe for the Magic.

TOP 3 GUARD? Chris Paul, Steve Nash, Dwayne Wade, Kobe Bryant, Deron Williams, Devin Harris, Brandon Roy, Joe Johnson, OJ mayo, allen iverson, i could go on and on...if you meant top 3 point guard than your still wrond...Devin Harris, Steve Nash, Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Mo williams, Rajon Rondo,Chauncey Billups and Mike Bibby are all superior to him even during his mini hotstreak

Magic were missing Nelson, Pietrus, and Bogans.. But Boston Celtics didn't even prolly realize all 3 of those were out, so Im betting Magic win at Home next time the C's play Magic. This was the most THRILLING game of the season!! How good are the Magic to beat Lakers with Kobe dropping 41! And I knew Nelson was going to blow Fisher in the matchup. Fisher is too old and slow. Atleast he reciprocated on his offensive end tonight as well. Lewis did terrific tonight on his matchups. Turk was good, 14 pnts, 7 ast. Man , and with Dwight in foul trouble the whole game too! He dominated the game in the second half tho, and read the orlando sentinel recap for why! We played better D, and we had a pretty good shooting night and balanced attack going on. Kobe shooting so much hurt them in the end, because the other Lakers weren't offensively in rhythm with him taking all the shots. Everyone knows its in Kobe's hand in the end, way to contest his 3. And Nelson is bad-ass all year long. Im one of the few to always believe in him from seasons ago and this season. Im a Pietrus, Nelson, and Lee guy. Im saying these guys are great from the beginning and always, let them get comfortable and theyll consistenly deliver in important games. Id stand by them if they were sucking, but clearly we're all standing in applaud tonight in Amway Arena of our Orlando Magic. Cant wait to go to the Warriors and Hornets game now. NO is on a streak too, so this may be the hardest team yet.

Being a point guard is not just about the stat line homey!!! It's when you take over a game when your team needs it the most!!!! And everyone here will agree with me that Jameer has played as good as any in that regard! His 3rd quarter exploits and his finishing kick heroics will prove that. In the last 4 games against legitimate contenders except for the Warriors, Nelson has sparked the team's play with huge and I mean HUGE 3rd quarters while providing the finishing touches in the 4th.. Against Utah he scored at will against D-will, he abused Tony Parker the other night and was flat out dominating against the Lakers.
Deron? aging Nash? Mo Williams(give me a break), Mike Bibby(puhhhleasssee)...

Dude was all excited his Magic won. Chill out! Or Hey, Lets get all technical too! Jameer is NOT ON A MINISTREAK. He is averaging 16.4 PPG, 5.4 apg, 1.3 spg, and 3.4 rpg..510FG% and .386 3P%.

Thats more PPG and FG% and 3P%'s than Mo Williams, Deron Williams, Rajon Rondo, and Steve Nash. Right on with Bibbys PPG but with more APG and SPG. Rajon Rondo has slightly better FG% but about 7 PPG less. More PPG and APG than Mo Williams. Is Nelson better than all these guys? Prolly not still. But these stats means its a discussion, and Nelson is a great guard all around and even better than some in scoring so far this season with no slow down showing.. Scoring is not the main aspect as assisting is, but when Nelson is doing a fine job on assisting and even better than most PGS in scoring, you need to shut up right now about Nelson.

Are you kidding me...Mo williams is the biggest reason why the cavs have the 2nd best record this year cuz without him last year they were 12 13 after 25 games... and Mike bibby has made big shots all year and is the only reason that the hawks made the playoffs last year...and as far as nash, are you saying that jameer nelson has more effect on the game than STEVE NASH? and you know that without Deron williams the jazz would be under .500 right now, so yea all thos guys are better than Jameer nelson outside and inside the stat line

Mo Williams is not leading the Cavs.. Even Delonte West is doing better than him. The Cavs are winning because they have a more balanced attack and they have gotten strong play off their bench. It's not just because of one player. While we're at it, they certainly are winning but not because of Who Williams.. LEBRON.. nuff said!

i wasnt going on stats but thanks for comparing them, i was going on all around play and effectiveness like the other guy said but if you wanna go on stats then Jose Calderon and Tj ford could be in the convo too...all im sayin is that Jameer Nelson is a stretch to have in the top 8 point guards in the league let alone the top 3 now come on, he is having a solid year but comparing him to NASH,PAUL,DERON WILLIAMS,BILLUPS AND PARKER is a long shot and you know he isnt of thier calibur, he has played 20 games this season get back at me after 50 games when he can prove he can be consistant like the other guys

Not inside haha. someone didnt read my last post. but yes, outside of it most or all of those listed still are.. but exactly how much better when some of the very guards you named arent better than Nelson inside the stat lines... Hmm Magic Hater needs more time to think this one through and come up with the next thing..

Dwight Howard beats all those guys teams' center inside and outside the stat line. You can take that one to the bank.

Now you're making good points. Not top 8 PG in league but perhaps in East is not a stretch to believe. And I do think itll be the same after 50 games but thats a wait and see. Dont underestimate Nelson's total sky high confidence adn team talk. He is playing with heart and hustle, literally telling his teammates this game is not over and we are going to win straight up. then making those crazy 3rd quarter scoring fenzies. Thats the kind of things that Rondo has and makes him a All Star this year prolly, because he has that passion and incredible defense along with all those other stat improvements despite only a meager 10 PPG

I am not a magic hater, it might sound like it to someone with there hopes up, but all i am saying is that they are the 3rd best team in the east AT BEST and the 5th best team in the league at best, they are solid through and through but are not better than LA Cleveland or Boston

and LEBRON beats everybody in the leagues StAt line as far as +/- goes, effiency and overall balance as the BEST PLAYER IN THE WORLD... and the drop off from Dwight howard to Z ilgauskus isnt as much when you factor in the fact that ilgauskus is automatic from anywhere on the court with his jumper and dwight howard will be a nonexistant shot blocker against the CAVS whith Z stretching the floor. who is gonna contain LBJ on the magic? Lewis- bad one on one defender and not agile enough or fast enough or strong enough to guard lebron, Hedo- way to slow- the frenchman-hes a wittle guy, bogans-also a little fella- who else are you gonna throw at him? howard can be contained but lebron is a different story

But the season is not over and the Magic can still show more of these underdog wins to make you think otherwise.. And still, they may prolly just 2nd round exit to the Cavs or Celtics this year.. the main core and squad is intact through 2012 and they are only getting better and better with notable strides.. To not say the Magic are an up and coming team like the Blazers and Lakers is pretty silly. Spurs and Celtics are old, how long will they dominate. Magic will prolly keep the core intact past 2012 too with DH12 prime. If they beat either one for the ECF berth this season tho, they're elite. Elite is a tough level to be considered of when its only LAL, BOS, and CLE. Only the Conference Finals teams can legitly say that about themselves, and I think they can do it this year and maybe more.
