There is NO WAY Ed committed suicide! It is so obvious that he didn't. Anyone and everyone who hears about this tragedy knows it is not suicide. Ed had too many future plans and his character was way too cheerful to commit suicide. Suicial people don't have future plans, they don't even have the will or desire to speak of, or attend pleasurable events. And Ed's life was full of pleasurable plans and events.
Also, it doesn't take a Rocket Scientist to know that a suicial person is a "mentally ill" person. No one just sets themselves on fire! And Ed was not ill. Ed was not clinically depressed. He was very close with his family and had many, many close friends - so if he was sick, someone would have seen that.
Unfortunately, it's very obivous that Ed's death is suspicious. And I hope for the family's sake that they find answers, so they can be at peace with this horrible tragedy. My prayers are with the family. RIP ED!!
We heard alot of the same crap here about my husband NEWS came on said WAS IN MURDER OR WAS IT SUIDICE.... MY stepdaugher called the news and gave them hell!!
Best of luck to you all. I hope you find out real soon what happend. I know you need to know, I am still waiting 9 1/2 months later for answers.
God bless I will be checking from time to time

To K (and Krystal),
Tonight I said a small prayer under a big sky here in England for Ed. My thoughts are with you all for tomorrow at the service. I hope Ed has found peace, and just wanted to leave you a message of support when I found you on this site whilst trying to make some sense of this tragedy. Love to your mum and dad, all my other cousins and the rest of the family

Ed was an incredible guy with an absolute love for life. I lost touch with him years ago and I will ALWAYS regret it. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

I have been searching the net for any additional information on this story but can't find anything other than the original information that was released. Has anyone heard anything new on this?

Something is rotten here. There is no information on this anywhere. It reminds me of the Clintons and Vince Foster.

While I do appreciate everyone's opinion, I did want to give my two cents here.
No one in my family had any idea that I tried to kill myself about 8 years ago. As a fact, it wasn't until this happened (to Ed) that I mentioned it to my mother and the look of sheer panic went across her face--she was totally in the dark on this. I had future plans and still do, but all it took was one bad day and (what I know now were signs of depression.) My mother and I are the best of friends, we talk 4 to 5 times a day on the phone everyday and laugh and joke about everything. A person being 'happy' or 'being of good nature' doesn't mean that they're not suffering from depression or some other type of behavioral health issue... it can manifest in different forms--excessive partying, jollility, shopping, sex, etc., etc. If there is a chemical embalance or any type of head/cranial injuries from pervious car accidents, slips and falls, etc., the smallest thing can trigger an episode and trust me--i'm speaking first hand here... there is VERY LITTLE THAT ANYONE CAN SAY OR DO TO CHANGE THE WAY YOU FEELING AT THAT MOMENT (if you're feeling suicidal.)
Prior to my attempt at suicide, I'd been out with friends, laughing and having a good time, and to this day, there are only prob 6 people that know what I tried to do. Each and every person was completely taken back and shocked and the first thing they said is,'that's not you.'
I don't know what happened to Ed, but I know his family misses him dearly and most of all his wife and my heart goes out to her and her family (both sides.)

i hope you guys know that you were not there and you dont know the circumstances of why harold didnt stop. i live less then a half mile from this and harold is a few houses down from mine i have known him for a long time i went to school with his son and daughter. he is the kind of guy that would stop but he didnt drive by it when he came up to the stop sign on lake mary jane rd to turn right on moss park he did what he should do and look both ways before turning and when he looked to his left about 200 yards was the car smoking. which if you lived out there it would be unusal for a car like that to be on fire but a car smoking and looking like it was over heating is typical because people like to race on those long country roads. besides the fact think to your self what could he have done? maybe he might of had a cup of coffee or if he was lucky a bottle of water where he could run over there quickly and splash the fire out yeah right get real people the only thing you could do was get the fire department which driving to it and telling them is quicker because he didnt notice the flames in his mirror until half way down the road which half way down the road is the station so dont you think stopping and telling them is faster because they know instantly instead of calling 911 descaribing where he is blah blah blah and then they dispatch the station come on people if you dont know the circumstances keep comments to yourself especially if other people like my self who know them personally can read it and the whole racism stuff, lets just say we are have our own opinions and....i think i should probably keep mine out

Something is wrong here. Who is covering up these stories. Is it the Lake Nona and Inovation Way developers?
Something is very messed up here. If you look at the Sentinels Crime map you see virtually no crime in the area yet I know a neighbor down the block who was robbed of a lot of expensive goods yet it does not show up on the map. And we know of cars being stolen down in Isle of Pines.
If you Look at the Lake Nona area crime map it looks like nothing has happened in the last 5 years but a stolen lawnmower.
Something stinks.
