I am so sick of schools taking advantage of people who want to do something with their lives as far as education, and then you have people like the college adminstrators who see nothing wrong! That really upsets me.I just hope that the students don't get caught up in the scam.I really hope that the Dept. of ED. overlook the monies borrowed for the training for these students or give them another oppertunity to attend classes somewhere ele so that they can further their education without holding them at fault!!!! I hope that the school get fined for all that they have done wrong. And I hope that this is an eye-opner to anyone who thinks that they can play with people's lives like this.....
Ah, but you don't understand, unless THEY have control over the schools they can't produce the stupid people they need as sheep to tax and to follow.

Good! Time to get rid of this and all the other diploma mills out there. If you want a college degree go to a real college!
Just who determines what a REAL college is?

I would guess that it has something to do with the massive amounts of financial aid they are receiving directly to the school. Maybe fraud or embezzlement?
Taxpayers should be outraged that they are helping finance these diploma mills.
Much as I hate to say it, I agree.
Here's one for you. If you are a young soldier and you are promised that college education when and IF you get out alive, you MUST check the accreditation yourself. If you DON'T, the government will NOT pay for the education they promised you. YOU will pay for it yourself.

Try THAT when you get out of the military as a mere sargeant with little or no money and have car payments. Those bill collectors are like vampires.

I taught at FCC and it was the worst time of my life. It was a waste of time for me and it was a waste of time and money for those whom attended as students... I was told constantly to change grades and to put in test results that didn't exist. Mr Picou and Dahlia Dixon were down everyone's throats. If I would fail a student Ms Dixon would change the scores and have that student pass. Mr Picou just wanted to have them happy so that they can come back for more money. What a disaster of a plce... I stood up to Ms Dixon and guess what ? I was fired... I was actually told that I needed more credits to teach. So I study more and get beyond what the asked for and still won't hire me back, I ask and no one answers. Someone in the GOV has to put an end to this practice

I see the new commercials about FCC and I still don't understand why this scam continues uncontested. Now Mr John Sewell comes out in it when he is one of the main problems there. Because of him many were let go. Because of him many students haven't learned a thing... I wonder how much of a kick back is he getting...

I was a student at Florida Career College in 2003 and this college is a complete fraud. Before I enrolled, I was promised that the instructors were very qualified and that the college was great. After a year there and $10,000 in student loans later I realized that the instructors were just part timers who just had Certifications in the State of Florida, but were not even trained to teach. On top of that I would make sacrifice to have great attendance and would put maximum effort on my assignments and the at the end of the term everyone would pass with a grade of "A" or "B", even students that would only show up like three or four times to class the whole term. Bottom line is the Florida Career College is a BIG fraud. if anyone has information on any class action lawsuit on them or anything that we can do as students to make our voices heard please emailm me at [email protected]

The more I learn about Florida, the less respect I have for it and some of the people who live there. I know Snowbirds who have homes there only for the months it is too cold in other places.
