Casey Anthony speaks at bankruptcy hearing
By TAMARA LUSH
Associated Press
TAMPA, Fla.(AP)--Casey Anthony says she doesn't pay rent or utilities and is living off the kindness of others.
Anthony made her remarks Monday at a meeting with creditors in her bankruptcy case in Tampa. She says she is unemployed and has not received any money to tell her story.
Speaking calmly in court, Anthony says she is living off money given to her by her former attorney and through unsolicited gift cards and money.
The 26-year-old Anthony hadn't made any public appearances since she left jail in July 2011. She was acquitted of murder in the death her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee.
Anthony filed for bankruptcy in January, claiming about $1,000 in assets and $792,000 in liabilities.
Hi Zazz!! I heard this, this morning on the news.Gee,this is not surprising that she is sucking off other people, like she did before, the only difference is is she's not lying about an event planner job at universal. She says she has'nt made any money?? That's a lie,she already got $200,000,what does she not thinks that does'nt count, because that was back in 2008'? And she can say,she has'nt made any money, yet, but that's the key right there. She's hoping one day, when she can't suck money from Mason or whatever attorney is stupid enough to support her now,she will one day try and sell a story. She's a pychopath,Caylee was an object. How sicking she is,Caylee was rotting in the woods, and she was busy ordering freaking snacks, with money. She would have rather lied and steal instead of actually supporting Caylee.Mmm,"unsoliciated " gift card?? Sounds like to me,maybe that's how she's getting money funnled.

I don't understand either how Bozo being an so called attorney and all could get away with this, but I also never understood how Casey got away with murder when all the evidence pointed right at her.
Also it said in one of those articles that Baez paid her some money for some photos after she was released, so everyone was right in assuming that those Ohio photo's were blood money afterall.
That's all they have left is BLOOD MONEY!
Hi Sweet!! You know,I forgot about the photo's in Ohio.Very good point!! I don't know if it was ever found out though, who sold those.

First pics! Casey Anthony out of hiding, into court!

NEED TO KNOW

First public appearance since leaving jail in July 2011
Attended bankruptcy filing hearing, owes about $800,000

Did you follow the Casey Anthony case? Be sure to watch LIVE coverage of the Jodi Arias trial starting at 12.30 p.m. ET every day on HLN!

Casey Anthony has successfully managed to stay out of the spotlight in the 19 months since being found not guilty of murdering her 2-year-old daughter.

However, that all ended today in a chaotic scene outside a Tampa courthouse, reminiscent of the swarm awaiting Anthony the last time we saw her, leaving the Orange County Jail on July 17, 2011. Anthony was at the courthouse for a hearing in her bankruptcy filing.

The intense attention on her every move wasn't the only thing that remained unchanged since that early summer morning. The 26-year-old once dubbed "America's Most Hated Woman" was again flanked by an attorney, Cheney Mason, and looked about the same as the last time we saw her. With her head down and Mason close by, a brief glimpse of Anthony -- seen in the Splash Media photo above -- was all the public and small army of assembled media received.

With her hair in its familiar just-past-the-shoulder length, Anthony moved quickly in a black coat, black pants, black sweater and patterned scarf into the court.

In her Chapter 7 listing filed in January, it was revealed Anthony owes nearly $800,000 to almost 80 creditors. The largest debt is the $500,000 owed to Jose Baez, her attorney during her trial.

Anthony listed assets totaling just $1,100, which included her laptop and some old furniture. She has been unemployed since leaving jail.

One of Casey Anthony's most fervent supporters has spoken out about the cash, gift cards and food her fans have donated to keep her alive.
In her first public appearance since she was acquitted in 2011 of murdering her toddler daughter Caylee, Anthony revealed she has no job or money and has been living off the kindness of strangers.
'I don't pay rent, I don't pay utilities so I guess you could say I'm living for free or off the kindness of the people I'm staying with,' she said in bankruptcy court on Monday.'These items... they are unsolicited items that come from people I don't personally know.'

I cannot believe in this day and age, people sending money to a person who killed a baby! There are kids starving in this country, actually living in shelters, and these horrible people send money to a horrible baby killer. I suppose they keep Westerfield's commissary fund loaded, too?

Casey Anthony: WFTV explores combative bankruptcy hearing

— posted by halboedeker on March, 6 2013 5:54 PM

Want to know more about Casey Anthony’s bankruptcy hearing?

WFTV-Channel 9’s “Central Florida Spotlight” explores the tensions between attorneys for Anthony and Zenaida Gonzalez at Monday’s gathering in Tampa.

The program airs at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

Charles Greene, Anthony’s attorney, and Scott Shuker, Gonzalez’s attorney, are moderator Greg Warmoth’s guests. Greene explains why he’s representing Anthony for free, and WFTV legal analyst Bill Sheaffer weighs in.

Warmoth provided a preview on the Wednesday evening news, and the clips were fascinating.

During the hearing, Shuker blasted Greene for interrupting while Shuker was asking Anthony questions.

“I don’t regret that at all. That’s what was appropriate at the time,” Greene tells Warmoth.

Shuker counters,“From a bankruptcy point of view, she doesn’t get to have different rules. The rules are the same for everybody. This was the first meeting of creditors, and she’s under oath, she’s supposed to answer.”

Will you be watching?

Of course it's G and C -- nobody else is sending that idiot money! I bet her lawyers are counting on all their efforts paying off one day. I think they are mistaken. Her name will remain toxic for the rest of her miserable life. Anyway, we heard the "story" during Baez' opening statement...right?!!

In order for Casey's income taxes to be discharged in bankruptcy she must have filed tax returns for the years in question and the debt must be over 3 years old.
I think Baez should be held liable since he cashed her checks and kept all of the money, not sending the IRS their share.
Everything she does is disgusting and dishonest.
If I'm not mistaken Zazz, she only filed once and the year,I'm not sure, maybe back in 2006?? This I.R.S is well over three years when this tax lien accured.I would have to disagree, babykiller should be responsible. The money might have been issused to him, because he could cash it,but she knew excatly what was being paid, when Bozo collected from ABC,and she approved of recieving this money, for her defensce. And she still got free defense. So in actuality, they got paid twice.Once from ABC and the other time from the taxpayer's.

Hi Sweet!! I would'nt that either.Of coarse, they'll both deny it,however.I think Shucker should get Dr.Pheeble's paper's on this, for the bankrupsty and see how much the mental Anthony's actually did get paid. His records should be supenoed, and than maybe they can start on that money trail, that they're trying to hide.

I think everyone knows the real Casey by now. It is what it is. Too many things to do in this lifetime then to waste precious time thinking about her. Can't wait for Summer again. We may get some snow this week, but it's not clear as to how much we'll get. With all the latest equipment and technology, you'd think the weathermen would get it right. Hard to plan your weekend when you don't know the outcome of the weather. Gotta run. Enjoy the rest of your night.:)
Hi Children!! Finally,we had some sun here today, the last few days, have been really cold, though with some snow flurries. So today,it seemed like the sun was blinding my eyes.My spring bulbs are starting to pop up,so they defenitly needed some.

Hi Real Topaz!! Very good post.Nothing surprises me,when it comes to these people. It's just like the jury. How can they have found her innocent, when the eveidence of the premeditated death of Caylee, was right there in their faces? It's maddening, considering Caylee did'nt even have eye orbits left in her little face,or even her hair. She was right there in their faces, trying to tell her story, but yet she could'nt even have a mouth, because as we all know, the duct tape became her voiceless face.Babykiller took everything away from her.
