Someone on my office clears their throat all day long and it is very annoying and distracting. To the person doing it: I do not care if it is a medical condition. Fix it. We are sick of you and hate you.
***Yes, let's be really clear - when you are the victim of a coworker who constantly - CONSTANTLY - clears their effing throat it will make you feel CRAZY. By constantly, let me give you an example, an idea...some insight - 185 plus times in 40 minutes. It is NOT OK. It's NOT acceptable. It costs money when people literally call in to avoid these assholes. It's not a mystery - people have literally LEFT THEIR JOBS. I'd Love to see how some of you people would deal with it. Do you constantly clear your throat? Here's an idea - work somewhere BESIDES A DAMN OFFICE FULL OF CUBICALS. OH MY GOD.

a THROAT CLEARER too…..I never actually worked next to him in our CUBICLE FARM but I've actually used to hear him CLEAR his throat to make his point in conversation or in his remarks/statement. He was/is a very serious/intense man as well as relaxed when scenerio presents itself. I sometimes wonder though if it was a nervous 'twitch' developed after years and years of social interaction OR if there is health condition. i used to hear off-handed remarks from co-workers who were constantly around about his throat clearing. You think AFTER 10 years of knowing him this health condition would have gotten worse - though, i have never heard from any former co-workers of him taking off from work to get treatment.

I think sometimes it is the person's way of reaction in a stressfull situation or his/her response under some degree of nervousness.
Whew in other words
