Hello Father, can you let us in on what's closing in the Panther Valley-Carbon-Tamaqua areas in next weeks or months?

Nesquehoning is going to Jim Thorpe. Jim Thorpe is going to one priest and two buildings. Lansford is going to Summit Hill. The school in Lansford will merge with the one in Jim Thorpe at the urging of His Grand Pooba,
Chizzy. Any other questions?

Agree with everything but I have one question. What becomes of the so called shrine in the former church? Heaven forbid we can't close that! Who is going to pay the expenses?

Form a committee of like-minded people, buy the property from the Diocese, and live happily ever after. Dominus Nabisco and get the hell off the gra-ass.

If they close St Katherine down then without a doubt, the biggest slum lord in Lansford will be Bishop Barres. He'll have 2 big churches left to deteriorate. The reality is that Carbon and Schuylkill Counties are a real pain in the good Bishop's dupe.

The bishop is a wimpy little cry baby...he and only he is to blame for the younger generation not coming to church and for the lack of money being donated to churches...he is robbing the people of our area churches of the faith

St. Ann's is to be demolished in the spring. The job has been bid and just awaiting final approval. Dominus Nabisco.

The Diocese doesn't own the property. We are happily living and by the way come to our fish dinner of Friday and help support the group !

That sounds like a legal mess with the Diocese owning the building but not the land it sits on. Does the fish dinner profit go to St. Francis for the benefit of the Shrine or for whatever bills need to be paid. Or maybe the sexton's salary?
