Eufemio Mendoza, 44, has been charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child.

According to court documents, Mendoza took the girl, a relative, to services at a church in the 17400 block of West Little York on Nov. 11.

Investigators said Mendoza attacked the girl in a car in the church's parking lot.

The girl told her father to stop, and if he didn't, she was going to tell her mother, according to court documents.

Mendoza then threatened to hurt the girl and kill her mother if she ever told anyone about what happened, investigators said.

Harris County sheriff's deputies went to a home listed for Mendoza last week, but the man who lives there said he has never seen nor heard of Mendoza. He said he does get a lot of mail for him, and much of it is from

Hickman is charged with assault and endangering the welfare of a child. He is being arraigned Friday in Syracuse City Court.

Young Mother Gets Prison for Beating 4-year-old to Death: Santa Ana, Ca.

----------

http://www.ktla.com/news/landing/ktl...,29574...

SANTA ANA (KTLA)-- A 30-year old woman was sentenced to 25-years to life in prison for her role in the beating death of her 4-year-old son, who died after enduring months of horrific abuse.

Gabriela Morales was convicted last month of assault on a child likely to produce death and child abuse for the May 30, 2008, killing.

According to prosecutor Morales and her live-in boyfriend Alberto Guzman beat, starved and forced little Brandon Morales to sleep on the floor continuously during his short, four years of life.

Deputy District Attorney Larry Yellin told the jury that the two parents acted with a "conscious disregard for human life" and should both be convicted of second-degree murder.

"Brandon's life was a living nightmare... He was unable to defend himself and he had nowhere to turn," Yellin said.

Morales' first trial last year ended with a hung jury, 11-1, in favor of guilty on all counts, triggering the second trial.

The case stems from an incident that happened on May 30, 2008 when Morales called 911 from her apartment to report that her son, Brandon -- the youngest of her three children -- was semi-conscious.

According to paramedics, upon arrival, Brandon was found in full cardiac arrest with bruises all over his body and trauma to his head.

The boy later died at a hospital and an autopsy found that the Brandon died of a brain hemorrhage cause by blunt force trauma to the head.

According to the autopsy report Brandon sustained 12 separate injuries to his head in the weeks before his death.

Guzman was convicted was tried separately last year and convicted of assault on a child likely to produce death and sentenced to prison for 25 years to life.

Woman accused of abusing 4-year-old boy: Houston

----------

http://www.click2houston.com/news/Wo...m/-/in...

HOUSTON - A southwest Houston woman has been accused of beating and starving her friend's 4-year-old son, according to police.

Shanque Harrison, 20, is charged with two counts of injury to a child. The boy's mother gave her son to Harrison to raise, police said.

According to investigators, the little boy's teacher first reported the abuse two months ago, but Children's Protective Services officials said they were not able to confirm the alleged abuse until a few weeks ago.

According to investigators, the boy showed up for school in March with a bloody lip. He told his teacher Harrison hit him because he didn't put his sweater on fast enough. Then in May, he came to school with a black eye, but someone put makeup on him to try and conceal the injury, investigators said.

A medical exam showed he was also suffering from malnutrition, officials said. He told doctors he wasn't allowed to eat at home, said police.

Harrison could get two years in jail on each court, if convicted.

The child has been placed in protective custody.

Two-year-old girl systematically tortured and raped 'by mother's boyfriend' before drowning in bathtub

PUBLISHED: 12:04 EST, 27 May 2012

UPDATED: 12:04 EST, 27 May 2012

A two-year-old girl who was found drowned in a bathtub was 'systematically tortured' prior to her death.

Investigators believe Koralynn Fister was raped and suffered from prolonged abuse at the hands of her mother's boyfriend.

Details of the alleged abuse were revealed as James M Reeder appeared in court
accused of her death from drowning and blunt head trauma.

Child abuse: Appearing in court, 25-year-old
James M Reeder is accused of raping and abusing the two-year-old
daughter of his girlfriend before her death this week
Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer said the injuries suffered by the toddler were the worst he had ever come across in his legal career.

'I won't go into graphic detail, but suffice it to say that in my entire
legal career, this is the worst case of child abuse and neglect I have
seen,' said Lewis County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer.

According to court documents filed in
Centralia, Washington, Reeder repeatedly raped the child and hurt her so
badly that patches of skin were missing from her body.

Detectives said Reed asked the girl's mother for permission to babysit the girl every day.
Story: Reeder told police that he found the girl underwater in her bath while stepping away
to grab a towel but numerous injuries revealed more

Reeder called 911 at approximately 3 p.m. Thursday and said the child was not
breathing. Medics arrived to find Reeder performing CPR on the girl, who
was unconscious.

He told police he had been giving the girl a bath when he left the room to
grab a towel. When he returned to the bathroom, he said the girl was
underwater, facedown and unconscious.

The girl was taken to Providence Centralia Hospital, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

An autopsy revealed both new and old injuries.

Boyfriend's care: Detectives said Reed asked the girl's mother for permission to babysit
the girl every day but in the process, repeatedly raped and abused her

'There are injuries that are recent injuries and injuries that have healed,
and those always lead us to believe that there's a long-term problem
that's been occurring,' said Centralia Police Sgt. Pat Fitzgerald.

Reeder was arrested for investigation of first-degree murder and booked into Lewis County Jail.

Neighbors said they had often heard the girl crying loudly at disturbing levels.

'I was tempted, so tempted to call the sheriff's office and tell them
about it because it was awful,' said neighbor Ella Morgan.

Cries of pain: Neighbors said they had often heard the girl crying loudly at disturbing levels
inside the home, pictured, and now regret beyond measure having not called police

'I'm so sorry I didn't call somebody. A kid don't cry all the time, and this kid cried
all the time. I mean,(she) cried into a big scream.'

Child Protective Services said it has no record of previous dealings with the girl's family.

A 4-year-old girl also lives at the home, but she was not present at the
time of the incident. She has been placed in protective custody.

Police believe the attacks began after April as the victim had been medically
examined by authorities and there were no signs of abuse.

Police: Kids found in feces-filled home: Orlando

----------

http://www.clickorlando.com/news/Pol...s/-/in...

ORLANDO, Fla.- Authorities have arrested an Orange County woman they say left her children unattended at her home, which was deemed by deputies to have multiple hazards, to get formula.

Orange County sheriff's deputies have charged Tiffany Rundell, 24, with neglect of a child. Deputies haven't released how many children lived in the home or their ages.

Deputies said they responded to the home Monday 4 p.m. because of a possible suicide attempt by Rundell. When they arrived, deputies said the house had broken windows, allowing the children to come and go as they pleased.

Deputies said the children told them Rundell left the home to go "Ron's house" which was over a fence and two roads down. Rundell told deputies because it was raining, she left the kids alone to go and see if she could get a ride from Ron the store for baby formula. She said she wasn't gone for more than 10 minutes.

When deputies spoke to Ron, he said he never gave Rundell rides and they were just "hanging out."

When deputies went into the house, they said there was a strong odor of urine and feces. According to the report, deputies discovered the children were running barefoot with glass, rat feces, dog feces and roaches all over the floors, cabinets in the kitchen and on the food cans.

Department of Children and Families is investigating and the children have been put with their maternal grandmother.

Woman accused of abusing and not feeding a 4-year-old boy who lived with her: Houston

----------

http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story...

HOUSTON (KTRK)-- A woman is accused of abusing and not feeding a young boy who lived with her and then attempting to conceal his injuries.

!Shanque Dashuna Harrison, 21, is charged with two counts of injury to a child. Court documents state on May 1 a CPS case worker transported a 4-year-old boy to Texas Children's Hospital because of multiple bruises and a distended stomach.

According to court documents, an examination determined that the boy had multiple bruises to his face, ear, neck and back, abrasions on his neck, two first degree burns to his neck and that he was malnourished. A doctor says the injuries were consistent with abuse.

Police say the boy told interviewers he lives with Harrions, who is his guardian, and that she choked him, punched him and burned him.

CPS says they first received a report on March 21 after the boy was found with a blood nose and bloody lip at school. Court records show the boy said Harrison hit him because he wouldn't put his sweater on fast enough. The case worker says they believe Harrison caused that injury, but Harrison said that the boy hits himself, according to court documents.

After asking the school to monitor the boy, CPS says they received a second report on May 1 where the boy had a black eye and that he was sent to school with makeup on his face in an attempt to cover up the injury. They also say the child was wearing a turtle neck, long-sleeved shirt and sweater to conceal other injuries.

Court documents state the boy told CPS that Harrison would not allow him to eat at home. He also claims Harrison told him he would get in trouble if he told anyone about the abuse

Police: St. Charles child sex abuse case one of worst seen, Mo

----------

http://www.kmov.com/home/Police-St-C...156119...

ST. CHARLES, Mo (KMOV)-- St. Charles deputies say it’s one of the most disturbing cases of child sex abuse they’ve ever seen, and they believe there may be more victims.

Three people are behind bars, accused of sexually abusing three girls; 5 and 3-year-old siblings and another 7-month-old girl.

Court documents show Rebecca Sue Russell would hold her infant daughter down while her boyfriend, John Scott Thomas, had intercourse with the 7-month-old. St. Charles County detectives say it happened in the Tee Kay Mobile Home Manor near O’Fallon over the past several months.

When the neighbor kids came to visit—just 3 and 5 years old themselves—police say the couple raped them too.

Melinda is the older children’s mother. She has asked to have her last name withheld to protect the identity of her children.

“This was supposed to be my best friend, my kids’ godmother, and they just lived up the street,” she said.

Melinda said she didn’t suspect anything, despite a comment made by her oldest daughter.

“There was an incident last year when my oldest said something, but we thought it was just off the wall.".

The St. Charles County Prosecutor has also pressed charges against Melinda's live-in boyfriend. Billy Joe Bunch Jr. was arrested at work on Thursday, accused of making Melinda’s 5-year-old daughter perform oral sex on him.

Melinda filed for orders of protection on Thursday against all three of her girls’ accused abusers.

“What kind of monster can sit there and look at you every day and do this to your children who they’re supposed to love?” she said.“I’ve been going through emotional rollercoaster and I’ve just been trying to stay strong for my kids.”

Police say Bunch and Thomas have confessed to the crimes.

All three of the suspects are charged with child molestation and jailed on a $200,000 bond each. Police say more charges are coming.

Prosecutor: Man posted ad on Craigslist to prostitute 3-year-old, Idaho

----------

http://www.kxly.com/news/northwest/P...z/-/in...

BOISE, Idaho -
A 39-year-old Boise man has been charged with posting a Craigslist ad advertising sex with a 3-year-old toddler, KBOI2.com in Boise reports.

Ada County Prosecutors say Jason Lloyd Schaber posted several Craiglist ads online seeking sex for himself as well as the child. One of sex ads stated "desperate times calls for desperate measures."

"The facts in this case are quite disturbing," prosecutors said in Schaber's initial court appearance Friday.

One of the ads, prosecutors say, had a graphic description of the prostitution plans with the child.

"Hurry before your once in a lifetime opportunity passes you by," the ad allegedly stated.

The advertisements were apparently spotted by a local citizen who then alerted police.

Schaber, who said he worked at Idaho Timber Corporation in Boise and has two children, has been charged with felony lewd conduct with a child as well as soliciting a minor for prostitution.

Prosecutors say a laptop was confiscated from Schaber's residence and multiple images and video of graphic child porn were discovered involving 2-4 year-olds with grown men.

Officials say there are potentially other victims who are being treated for injuries and being interviewed. Additional charges are forthcoming, according to prosecutors.

When asked by a judge whether he understood the charges, Schaber replied, "yup."

Schaber has been issued a $1 million bond and has a preliminary hearing scheduled for June 15.

POLICE: 3-year-old child found wandering on railroad tracks: Ky

----------

http://www.wdrb.com/story/18692299/p...ailroa...

(WDRB)-- Police say a Louisville mother and her boyfriend were arrested Sunday morning after the woman's 3-year-old daughter was found wandering alone near railroad tracks.

According to arrest reports, it happened on McCandless Circle, east of the intersection of Dixie Hwy. and W. Orell Rd. Police say 26-year-old Victoria Carrol left the child at her home, in the care of her boyfriend, 34-year-old Joshua Tate, while she went to a methadone clinic.

Police say Child Protective Services had told Carrol that she was not to leave her child alone with Tate.

A short time later, officers received a call from a witness who allegedly found the 3-year-old playing on the railroad tracks near E. Orell Road, "with no adult in sight."

When officers arrived at the home, they say they found the front door open and Tate passed out in the bedroom, "with no knowledge that the child was gone."

"Police have been here several times on the same child playing in the street with no supervision," the arrest report states.

The child was taken to the Home of the Innocents.

Both Carrol and Tate were arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a minor. As Tate was arrested, he allegedly banged his head on the protective shield on the officer's car, as well as on the asphalt, causing minor injuries to himself.

He was given an additional charge of resisting arrest.
