Another fun thing is, when we drive up north, i will often get these real estate magazines, free at gas stations, grocery stores and highway rest stops....then when i get home, i can study them....kinda fun....we collect antiques, so we know most everything related, between here and Michigan.....

Heat index = 93 on the last day of September and no relief in sight. This place isn't nearly as attractive as it seems from a thousand miles away.

Beautiful sunny day. Worked in the yard, took a dip in the pool when it got too hot, thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful weather. Don't let the whiners get those of you who are looking to move here down. I guess it was a big surprise to them that "OMG IT'S HOT IN FLORIDA!". Dimwits.
Good one~~
Would that be anything like me moving to New York then acting like I'm surprised because it snows there in the winter?

Talk about silly....i have a $30 inflatable kiddie pool....we have an electric airpump we blow it up with...fill it with the hose....I know it sound's dumb, but over the years, i've had more fun with those pools....has a drain plug, so i can just lean it againest the house, when the lawn gets mowed....House backs up to the woods, so nobody see's....Talk about cheap thrills, huh?......

This isn't the hottest, July and August are....we have it pretty good tho...have learned to survive easily, by having AC everywhere, with just little trips in between....One reason, the SE coast is so popular, is because we are close to the Gulfstream, so always have breezes....it's a big difference...spent a weekend in Gainesville once, thought i'd die...lol...

Yep, and you have to complain incessantly about it!!!! But NEVER do whatever it is you have to do to move somewhere more to your liking!
Well, we're not all self-centered menopausal beotches like you. Some of us actualy put others ahead of ourselves, even if it means some personal discomfort. It's called sacrifice. Look it up in the dictionary sometime.

And one in being a filthy perverted bigot. I believe I'll pass on both. If I had to be in the same room with that disgusting little pig-man, I'd end up in jail. And unlike him, I obey the law, so I'll stay away from the repulsive dwarf pervert.

In the 40's at night here and it's been that way for over a week. Now it's October and we are 30 days away from the anniversary of our first blizzard last year. Is that better for you?

It's been in the 70's in the morning. Very pleasant. Some people look for the bad in everything.

I weeded in the frontyard for 2-3 hours, this morning...73-75 degrees, light breeze....you just learn where the sun moves and what times are good for the chores...it's all good....but, i would be tickled with some cool nights, must be patient...lol...

I don't have the luxury of doing chores during the day, but as hot it was over the weekend, we got all the yard work done. I can also get a bit done in the evenings after work. I enjoy each day as it comes, except rainy days which I do not enjoy at all. People who focus on the negatives in life make their own lives unpleasant, not to mention everyone else's !

Spent many years bundling up like that just to go from the house to the car..........it was HORRIBLE!!!!! Real cold as you described is downright debilitating. It gets in your bones and it takes many hours to get warm when you get inside. Never again for me!!!

The worst I ever felt was late night in Manhattan. After a concert, thousands of people came pouring out of Radio City. Not enough cabs, and it was -50 wind chill. We had to walk about a million blocks (that's what it felt like) to Penn Station. I remember passing other concert-goes who couldn't walk any more. They just stopped in doorways to get out of the wind. It was so cold that it actually hurt; like needles.

First wife and i moved back to Michigan for three of the worst years in history, in the late 70's....i drove a tractor trailer for a company, that had done poor maintenance, and the heater was broken....i was coming back from unloading in Chicago, on I-94, around Sawyer, Mi, when i hit black ice and jacknifed the whole rig, into about 6 feet of snow in the median.....so lucky nobody got hurt, especially me....when i finally got home(-42, Kalamazoo), i told her, we are moving, don't know how quick, but we are gone.....have only ever went back, during the summer...lol...Sad, new wife has never seen snow.....
