It's time to start Nelson at point guard

All of this conversation and consternation about whether Magic point guard Jameer Nelson should be playing in the NBA Finals is as ridiculously aggrandized as the "Sorry, honey" $4 million purple diamond ring Kobe Bryant bought his wife. Read more

Shut up Bianchi. If you coached we would be screwed. You would of traded Dwight Howard already and brought in a midget to play center. Hey Dwight remember these douches don't represent the real fans in Orlando.

I think that you are a disgrace as sports writer. Obviously you are rooting for Orlando but for you to be so gutless and bring up Kobe buying a ring after committing adultery has absolutely no relevance to this series. You should be ashamed of yourself and stick to the x's and o's.

The regular season and the playoffs and specially the FINALS are two very different games.... some players play good when the games have no meaning but choke (NELSON)when it is win or go home...Bianchi has the basketball IQ of a handball and it shows in his work.....

"Sorry, honey" $4 million purple diamond ring Kobe Bryant bought his wife.

Did you really need to go there? Obviously you're smarting because he destroyed 'em in the first game, but that's bush league. If your goal is to try to stir things up, that's not the way... but it seems that's the card you play when there aren't any left in the deck. Whatever, good luck.

Donk-ianchi, once again you prove what a hack you are. Please stick to writing about something you know about. Like how ucf football is so pathetic and sorry. And how the head coach is a over paid moron that needs to be fired.

Get out the brooms, Shaq says Kobe in 4, take it too the bank. And sad azz ucf will be lucky to win 4 games this year with that drunken loser as a head coach. Write about that Donk-ianchi, at least you are dead on with that subject.

Nelson should have stayed on the injured list. Instead he has disrupted what once was a good rhythmn here for the Magic.

With that being said I see a clean 4 game sweep for the Lakers in this series.

The Magic have NO CHANCE. NONE. The Lakers are simply too big up front. They create many a matchup problem for Orlando. And it all starts with Howard.

Unfortunately Dwight will average no more than 14 points per game in this series. In fact Bynum's numbers should be about the same as Howard's when all is said and done.

Look for Turkoglu and Lewis to struggle as well. Both of them will average no more than 12 points per game in the series.

So the combination of the Lakers length and Kobe mixed in with all the Jameer drams spells disaster for the Magic.

Lakers in 4. Easy call to make folks. Kobe gets what Kobe wants. And if you don't believe me simply look at his demonic face. That is the face of somebody who wants something and will just simply go out and get it. And believe me the Magic ARE intimidated and WILL roll over and play dead in this series. NO CHANCE. NONE.

And when the O-Town Clowns and Stan Van-Dummy get drilled, they should blame you. Why do you have to dog Kobe with your cheap shot of the ring. You are only showing what a true donkey you are Donk-ianchi.

I am not a big fan of Kobe Bryant here, but even I have to admire the way he goes out there and simply gets it done.

He plays the game with great determination and zeal. And most importantly HE HATES TO LOSE. Michael Jordan had these same qualities. I believe this is what separates the very good players from the phenomenal ones.

Simply put, I may not be a fan of Kobe Bryant but he could play on my team any day of the week.

Never mind what he has done off the court in the past. All of that is over and done with. The man has paid the price already and is moving on. After all we all make mistakes. He made a big one. But I think he has matured greatly in the last 6 years since then.

I believe the Magic in their minds think that they won the championship after they beat Cleveland. That was essentially like their championship.

And now they are just "happy to be here" in the NBA Finals. And the way they played that first game was a clear indicator of just that.

Unfortunately for the Magic it will probably be 3 more games just like game 1 which will result in a Lakers sweep.

The Magic are "happy to be here" while the Lakers are clearly playing like a team on a mission, led by the phenomenal Kobe Bryant.

What an ultra-maroon. Why should someone who has 4months worth of rust be started in THE FINALS????? And why screw with proven team chemestry? I think, Bianchi, you need to stick to your silly little fairy tales....

Hey Bianchi, your desperation is showing! It IS all about chemistry and it was plainly obvious that the Magic were not the same with Nelson on the floor. Alston took them to the dance, and they ought to stick with him. That said, I AM a Laker fan and from that standpoint, I hope they do play him more! Ultimately, however, the difference will be nill because the Magic just don't have enough to beat the Lakers in a 7 game series, which by the way, I'm predicting will only go 4!!

Mr. Streets you are correct sir. 3 more blowout wins for the Lakers and then it will time for all fans out in L.A. to party like it's 1999.

Whole lot of Cali folks swishing around the Orlando message boards on Sat Eve. Does look like the Magic were more than a bit emotionally unprepared for the Finals. It happens. LA looks strong and Kobe demonic with the faux snarl. Magic will play better from here out. Maybe they'll win, maybe not - but let's enjoy the games nonetheless.

"If Jameer Nelson is ready to play in the NBA Finals then he should be ready to start in the NBA Finals."

You said it yourself, "IF Jammer Nelson is ready....

That's the problem. I and the Magic front office feels he's not ready to play. Yea he can run a full practice with the team but it doesn't mean he's ready to go in a real game and perform well. Game 1 proved Nelson is still rusty. Granted he didn't play much and didn't get much shots off but the shots he did attempt were off.

You are wrong, Bianchi. Nelson completely upset the chemistry of this playoff team. Completely! Sure, they should have let him play a few minutes just to say that he played in the finals but that should have been a few minutes in the last possible game with nothing riding on the outcome. The Magic are complete idiots for letting this happen. LA will sweep.
