Vic, the range was around 12 yrs old and had outlived its' life span according to todays' standards for the more recent appliance longevity projections. The oven cleaner had already stopped working three yrs ago so I knew it was a matter of time before it went; so when it blew I ordered a new one. It took a week for Home Depot to deliver it but they finally did this past Monday along with a new pigtail cord. We had to wait a week with no stove.Hey Guys,
Its 18 degrees this morning with a high soaring up to 27 but its going to be sunny, so it'll feel like a sunny 27.LOL
Yep Karma, I think we're in for a long winter, especially you guys up north. Yuck, I like snow but not when it stays on the ground for a spell and never ice. We have alot of black ice. You'll be driving along roads fine then bam, your car's rear end starts that fishtailing crap. Scares the begeebers out of me.
Well, you guys have a great day. I've got to go and try to teach my mom how to use her ipad. Oh, goodness it'll be a hoot.
Did you get your oven fixed? I called a repairman once to fix mine, he pulled it out and only charged me thirty five dollars to plug the thing back up. Boy, the look he gave me. Live and learn.
Also Vic, I wanted to mention; when you clear out the salt, leave it along the baseboards and the floor where it meets against the baseboards, especially along carpeted areas. Other baseboard areas too, also under cushions and crevices where the upholstering is joined. No one will pay any attention to it being there. The thing is, that fleas got in those little dark hidden areas and laid eggs there. When those eggs hatch,(even tho we don't know exactly when this cycle starts); they start to lay more eggs and the cycle repeats itself. It's been a year and a half now, but I still have some salt down along the walls and these other hidden areas. There's not much worse than a flea infestation and you want to be SURE it never repeats itself. Right? Just do it. No point in even taking a chance on the nasty little b'stards.
