This state should have have a lottery to be able to pull the trigger when these people are caught. I for one would pay good money for a chance.

I find it curious that the headline is that a dead woman was found in the street, but when you read the article you find that she was dying when she was found and died later.

Way to go, Sentinel. Accuracy was never your strong suit.

It caught your attention enough to read the story though right?

ditto 'random beauty'-- the story is more disturbing than finding a dead woman -- as disturbing as that would itself be.

Gotta love the bloodthirsty vigilante man above that comment...'cause who ever heard of cops & prosecutors getting the wrong man, right?

From winknews.com :

"Her skin, she had big holes in her skin. Her hair was like it got pulled out all over her body. It looked some somebody dragged her with a vehicle for a long ways," said Livermon.

Very gruesome. Here's the link:

From www.news-press.com :

Poklemba had a record of misdemeanor arrests. She was charged in May with DUI and refusal to give a breath test, Lee County Jail records state.

In February 2002, Lee County Clerk of Courts records state that Poklemba was charged with one count of DUI and two counts of DUI with injuries or property damage. All of those charges were dismissed.

However, she was found guilty of another count of DUI with injuries or property damage and sentenced to DUI school and assessed supervision costs, records state. She also was found guilty and sentenced to six months' probation on a misdemeanor marijuana charge, records show.

couldn't she have been drunk, stumbled into the street, and gotten run down/dragged by a car?

yes, this description sounds like being stuck and dragged by the under-carriage of a car. that would explain the cloth and the injures.

No- the road she was found on was kind of remote, at a dead end street. Would have had to be somewhat sober to make her way across the highway from the Tiki Bar and 3/4 of a mile or so down to the street she was found off of.

I have known Tia for 15 years. She was a wonderful person, and will be missed by all who knew her. To say what you did only demonstrates how ignorant you are, and that you fall into the "blame the victim" category of thinkers. It is sad that people actually try to justify something like this happening to a person.

The article got it wrong. Tia was from Bonita Springs, but she was found in San Carlos Park, of Ft. Myers.
