True, but he was still keeping his distance. According to GZ, he was just trying to confirm what direction he was heading in, when TM backtracked and confronted GZ. I know if it were me, and TM had checked me out at my vehicle, I would've stayed put. But I guess when you've got the police on the phone and you're toting a gun, one tends to be braver?

Just so. He's an armed, racist stalker turned savage killer. We all know Trayvon was the victim here, all that remains is to find the fat vigilante GUILTY AS HELL and sentence his ass.
You're a genuine TWIT! Your antics along with the media and all the racist black leaders have blown this all our of proportion. What do you want now, a made for T.V. movie?

Liar. There's ABSOLUTELY NO EVIDENCE that Trayvon "backtracked and confronted" vigilante Zimmerman. Stop making up your "facts!!"

I said accordingly, whether you like it or not it looks like he was in fact telling the truth over that one. Remember, he was on the phone with the cop up until he was almost at that intersection. GZ already reported to cop TM ran.

I see from your moniker you have a problem with right wingers? Does that mean you're Jewish? Are you here starting shit in this forum for the sake of getting your jollies? To incite war?

Zimmerman is NOT guilty of any crimes! He was only charged after those race-baiters Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton! Then, of course the extremely slanted Lame street media, and Dimocrats all stirred up a frenzy! The Police were NOT going to charge GZ until all hell broke out because of the immense pressure from all of the above! If he is found guilty it will be a true travesty!

You bet, and don't forget OBUMMER'S lack of mediation in this. And thanks to Roseanne bar for tweeting the Zimmerman family address out when Spike Lee got it wrong. That poor family will never have peace. They will probably always live there lives in terror?

Do you have any comprehension of THE LAW??? A trial is not about whether you like the guy or not. It is not about whether he did a stupid thing. Getting out of his truck was incredibly stupid and he's lucky he didn't lose his life for doing that stupid thing. If ThugTray had been armed that night (and we know from his cellphone pics that he had access to at least one gun), Mr. Zimmerman would have been dead. However, it is not illegal to do a stupid thing. It IS however illegal to punch someone then jump on them and try to kill them, which is what TRAYVON MARTIN did. I repeat: getting out of your truck is not illegal. Keeping an eye on a suspicious character in your neighborhood is not illegal. Attacking and trying to kill a man for getting out of his truck and watching you IS illegal. Shooting an attacker when you are in fear of your life (as any sensible person would be with blood running from their broken nose down their throat and the attacker on top of them smacking their head on the ground) is NOT illegal. There was only one crime committed that night, and that crime was attempted murder, committed by the thug TRAYVON MARTIN. Mr. Zimmerman's only "crime" was being stupid, and if we locked up all the stupid people, there would be very few people on topix!!!

BHO absolutely should have stayed out of it. He can't seem to resist race-baiting (i.e. the "beer summit"). I have my own theories about his unresolved issues due to being neither truly black nor truly white, but they're irrelevant........as was his comment about "if I had a son". I would hope that if he had a son, that son wouldn't be wandering the streets at night, high on illegal drugs and attacking a man for looking at him!!!!

Sure, I see what you're saying. That was kinda my point. In other words, had Obama's initial response been more professional, given a mediating tone, maybe the black community (especially the leaders) might've governed themselves a little better. I can't help but think many of them saw a green light so to speak???

Hey, hey, 47% on that post!.
What an asshat you are.(Yeah, that was a grammatical error.) When I sound as illiterate as you do, I'll worry. When I'm writing something that MATTERS, I'll worry. In the meantime, my writing was good enough for my master's thesis, I'm pretty sure it's good enough for a message board full of Jethros who "gradiated frum the sixth grade".

I agree, but I would go so far as to say that it was deliberate. This president does NOT want Americans to be unified, and he seeks out ways to divide by race, class, religious belief, etc. I personally think he should not have made a comment on this case at all.

Well with all this "Snowden/NSA crap" unfolding and Obama's gun control? I'm getting more and more suspicious of him all the time...

I am a paralegal, so I think I might know a little bit about the law. I also know about the "fight or flight" response, and I believe Trayvon responded because of this. Actually we DO lock people up for being stupid, if they commit a crime as a result of their stupidity. How many intelligent people are behind bars? How many are behind bars as a result of a stupid mistake or choice? I personally don't like either person. I think eventually TM might have done something to get him 10 to 20 years in prison, then again he might have become a good person. I also think had GZ not done this, he would done something else to get him arrested.

If you know about the law, you know that Mr. Zimmerman did not break any laws. I think there's little doubt that if this incident had not occurred, Trayvon Martin would have either died in some other violent incident or been incarcerated for much of his life. In fact, if his school had pressed charges as they should have, he would have been in juvie at the time of his death. As for Mr. Zimmerman, from all appearances, he had curbed his youthful impulsive behaviors (and was on medication for his ADHD), had a decent job, a decent marriage, and was community minded. I tend to think that he had put his youthful indiscretions behind him and that this incident was just an unfortunate set of circumstances. I don't know either of them. I'm basing my "not guilty" vote on the evidence and the law, not on emotion. I'll admit to getting really ticked at the sperm donor and incubator of Trayvon Martin who didn't care to raise him properly or supervise him, but are now using his corpse as an ATM. THEY make me sick.

According to a forensics expert on CNN the evidence presented so far is insufficient for 2nd degree murder, and it is getting weaker, and weaker every day. The State's case is falling apart. At this rate the Defense can call no witnesses, rest its case, and go home. How could the State have ben so stupid?
