glad to see OIA is doing background checks and keeping out cars safe! Based on how much it costs to park, we have multiple crimes! Let the CEOs do community service as well.

This is outrageous.

We pay exorbitant fees for on-site parking at GOAA only to be ripped off and victimized by the very contractor GOAA hired to operate the parking facilities.

Several years ago, my car was burglarized in the GOAA parking lot. When I inquired about this with GOAA and AMPCO Parking Systems, the parking lot operator, both responded by pointing to liability release language on the reverse side of my parking lot receipt. Oh, and I was still charged for three days of parking. "Have a nice day," the lady said impassively when she handed over my receipt.

The release language is intended to exclupate GOAA and AMPCO for negligence--such as an accident--not for the criminal acts of AMPCO's employees.

Did AMPCO run criminal background checks on these dirtballs before they were hired? Does GOAA's contract with AMPCO (which is public record--hint to the Sentinel and WESH 2) require AMPCO to conduct background searches on their employess assigned to GOAA? How many burgalries have been reported over the last, say, five years?(also public record).

Finally, GOAA needs to re-evaluate AMPCO, and whoever at GOAA who has known about these recurrent car burglaries but has done notheing about them (other than snidely reminding victims that they're not responsible, praise be Florida law on releases) needs to fired, pronto.

What a bunch of low lifes also management at airport who hired the contractor should be fired as with the contractor. They could have been terroist and blew upo the whole damn airport. I guess the pay was'nt enough because they are not union workers so they had to supplement their income. Ashame so young to screw up their lives. If they made a decent wage they might not have done this. Who Knows?

The statement that really got to me was that we should not keep valuables in our cars. What should we do, take our GPS, CD players, phone chargers and Sirius radios on the plane with us? Why don't they hire some decent employees instead of the thugs they have working there?

Their parents must be very proud of them.Maybe they were decent employees who were not paid enough and it turned into a crime of opprotunity.not sure if my spelling is correct but iam sure some one will let me know .lol. No matter what the circumstances were it was still wrong. Pay decent wages we pay enough to the airport.

What a shame! They should pay for this to the fullest extent of the law!! There is no excuse for this type of stuff!! I don't care if they were getting paid $2 an hour!! They were able to afford an apartment so how bad can they have it?!!! Is not like they were bums on the streets!! The parking company is not to fully blame as am sure they did do background checks. I'm sure they would not have made her supervisor otherwise. These jerks were probably getting away with their life of crime for who knows how long! I'm glad that they finally got caught! Hopefully passangers will have a better holiday season now that they don't have to come back to a broken in vehicle. It's an awful experience. Like the other writer said, there are things that you can't just take with you. You think security will do their job and keep things safe. I guess they need to up the security. It is scary to think the things that could have happend if the intentions were not to steal, but to kill instead!!!
