"Drexel University completed a study that concluded conservative foundations and others have bankrolled their case with $558 million between 2003 and 2010.“Money amplifies certain voices above others and, in effect, gives them a megaphone in the public square,” writes environmental scientist Robert J. Brulle,"<quoted text>James L. Powell:“the so-called debate over global warming is an illusion, a hoax conjured up by a handful of apostate scientists and a misguided and sometimes colluding media, aided and abetted by funding from fossil fuel companies and right wing foundations.”[forbes.com]
Ahh... the "money" argument. Let's compare, shall we?
From the above link, "The final sample for analysis consisted of 140 foundations making 5,299 grants totaling $558 million to 91 organizations from 2003 to 2010."
$558 million over 8 years... about $70 million a year.
However, warmists have these figures, "The budget information presented in this report reflects the Administration’s commitment to address climate change while preserving a strong American economy. The President’s 2014 Budget proposes over $21.4 billion for climate change activities."
Hmmm....$21.4 billion in one year compared to $70 million. Break out your Spongebob calculator lunkhead... what percent is that?(Have your mommy explain what "percents" mean.)
So it would seem that the "one voice" "amplifcation" "megaphone" argument is foiled by warmists themselves.
Do shut up. Not only will you be saving the atmosphere from needless CO2 emissions, but you'd be seen as less a dupe.
