....... Gore isn’t the only one that has talked of global government, but that’s the one you brought up.
Regarding the 100 bad things, like you said “predicted.” But it’s funny weird that everything that is predicted is end of the world stuff and nothing positive. The warming has come to a standstill, which was never “predicted” by the computer models. We are bombarded that extreme weather is increasing, but no one has shown any quantitative basis or scientific study to back it up. There has been no pattern of increased hurricanes, tornados, fires, droughts, etc. But every tragedy is celebrated as if global warming is the cause. Very strange.
I never brought that up, it was part of Glen Beck quote.
As for the 100 bad things, what is it going to take, wait until New York is under water. Well hang on that's already happened as well. So as far as your concerned we don't do anything until we start to look like Mars.
All the science has done is repeated the message beyond doubt that man is now influencing the world weather by continued emissions. That's no different than in the early days of civilisation science telling you not to flush your toilet into the river you drink from.
Whether its medicine, quantum physics, or sending a space probe to a distant planet. No one argues against those achievements and you know why, because it doesn't concern YOU directly. Global warming does effect you directly and clinging to one positive message in a 100 negative is not going to change the outcome. Your life style has to change and that's the bottom line. So when it comes down to the real reason the science is not accepted by the denier crowd is purely based on protecting a lifestyle of the status quo.
So every off beat theory gains statue without an ounce of credibility like those statements from Beck. Saying that God is punishing us with the weather for believing in global warming. It's God's Wrath for having those socialist ideas. Then the message of climate change is treated like the enemy at the gates.
I mean there is no answer for this stupidity and it's NOT science nor is it having an open mind. It's a sign that there is no mind at all!

The "contaminats" don't include CO2.<quoted text>No mention of "contaminant" in that article.<quoted text>CO2 "contaminates" mud.
How serious is that?
You "contaminate" by breathing, moving, touching and evacuating waste products.<quoted text>CO2 "contaminates" gas.
If this is you point, everything on the planet can be classed as a contaminant if introduced into the wrong place, so be careful where you play, never forget the playground is next to the waste disposal unit.

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
I like the Beatles and all but... that song doesn't really address my scenario.

Can you think of another song that might? Or, alternatively, do you have a scientific response?

You generalize too much. Most rednecks of all stripes probably are too smart for him. And why would valley girls care?

What is his attraction? He makes NO sense. Cannot deal with the facts. Isn't even very entertaining. Some may find him funny, but they could turn to the Daily Show instead. THEY at least admit that they are out for laughs..

RF Rummel's lifetime immersion:
After studying over 8,000 reports of government-caused deaths, he estimates that there have been 262 million victims of democide in the last century[7] and that six times as many people have died at the hands of people working for governments than have died in battle.

He argues that there is a relation between political power and democide. Political mass murder grows increasingly common as political power becomes unconstrained.
//////////
I'm talking massacres...... where gov't, having all the power, & exercise their power fully with no enemies with weapons who can oppose them. The massive genocides unleashed by Hitler & Stalin, not even counting enemies killed in equal or uneven combat, is listed as 40-50 million dead in mere decades. Of course, Mao Tze Tung's rivers of blood amounted to 100 million dead BROTHERS, SISTERS, CHILDREN & BABIES between the years 1949 to 1970.

Of course, you have read my posts of the unleashed & never headed democides by communists before. You knew what I said was true then. You know what I say is true now. Your post of startled surprise is only an act.

When I get caught up and manage to get hold of copies of the Senate and House versions of the Farm Bill so that I can find out exactly what each one does and does not contain I will write up a response.

It was a consensus in medicine that peptic ulcer disease was caused by excess acid in the stomach and treated as such. If we treated medicine like we treated climate science, the debate would be over and we would still be treating PUD incorrectly. In climate science, the debate is over on the "main contributor" of a warming world and there is only way to cure the patient; control CO2. But due to many scientific realizations that the climate science models have not accurately foretasted the future, such as the pause in warming for 16 years, the IPCC's next assessment report does reflect the growing uncertainty. Their new report will show the projections of temperature rises will be lowered. Why? Because there is a realization that CO2 levels do not have such a big effect as once thought due to a growing sense that climate sensitivity may have been overestimated in the past and that the science is just to uncertain. Sounds like global warming is not a "settled" science.

My thinking on that song choice is that John Lennon wrote about his Utopia and your Utopia seems to be any worst-case scenario. That's what your post sounded like to me. You get mad when anything good happens because of a warming world, even if greening the deserts will help those who live in arid lands. Seems strange to me.

Oh lord...You wrote McConnell and told him the senate needed to compromise, so at that time, you must have known what you wanted the compromise to be. But now that I read your post, did you not read the senate version of the bill before writing McConnell? If you didn't, how can you write and ask for a compromise on bill that you don't even know what it contains?
