We borrow money from China to buy oil from Saudi Arabia, we borrow money from China to steady our economy. What happens when the Chinese call in our markers? Sure, a rebate seems like a good idea, but we can't afford it, not with a multi-trillion dollar debt and no end in sight to the spending in Iraq. It's time for real fiscal responsiblity in Washington, and it's not going to come from John McCain, who simply wants to continue the Bush Nightmare.

I don't know why this is being labeled (not just you Dolly, the article) as tax checks.

This has nothing to do with tax checks, has nothing to do with tax at all really, it is being paid for by additional debt by the federal government. The Fed told Congress and Bush that it should not be paid for using debt, as this will lessen its impact.

Will this rebate check affect next year's taxes? Will we have add this to next year's income? Or is this a free be? This seems vague right now. I really do not want to be mailing a check to the IRS next year.

Did you ever ponder the thought of what is happening to those markers the Chinese are holding as the dollar falls?

$$$$$$$$ down the toilet. Chacing.

Ron Paul should have stuck with the federal buget. It was stupid of him to talk about the Federal Reserve. It is way to complex of a subject for even him to understand fully.

And now we have a bunch of voters who think the understand banking.

The US is becoming more Socialist by the minute. It is happening under a Republican President, I can't wait to see what happnes under Obama.

I'm sure a lot of people are happy the hand-out is in the mail. The government is also trying to save you losers who took out ARMs and have pi$$ed away all the money and can't make the payments.

This country is going down hill fast.

Too many people can't do squat for themselves and simply have their hand out and never place blame where it is needed. Look in the mirror and see why we are going backwards.
