Ladies, I understand you want your rights to do with your body what you will but the Democratic Party is now pushing for teenagers as young as 12 years old to be able to get abortions without having to notify their parents. Ladies think this thru clearly before placing your vote. Do you want some quack performing an abortion on your teenage daughter without your knowledge? Once questioned the party began walking it back and have removed all postings from their sites.

Anyone dumb enough to decide their vote on hot button issues such as abortion or gay marriage should not be allowed to vote.

Abortion is a personal choice and should remain that way. It does not mean we taxpayers should be forced to finance it.

That doesn't mean that minors should be able to have surgical procedures done without parents consent. That is absurd!

The complications that occur during an abortion are many. Death being one of them. If you had a 12 year old, wouldn't you like to know if they could die on the table if they go through with this procedure?

I am against abortion under any circumstance. Well except when the pregnancy would kill the mother. Or the child has a profound birth defect that is so severe that it would not survive more than a few days.

Problem with this kind of thinking is that quacks and back alley butchers will be doing these procedures if abortions are outlawed. I don't think any minor should have a surgical procedure without the parents consent. Too many complications with even the simplest of procedures. I, personally, don't believe in abortions but as a nurse, I realize that there are legitimate reasons for having them such as rape, congential deformities and save the life of the mother. Plus, I agree with Darwin. This is not a political issue.

I am against it also, except in extremely rare circumstances, where there his a high likelihood the mother would die, or if the baby could not survive more than a few days outside the womb. But even then it depends on how far along she is in the pregnancy.

My daughter does ultrasounds. She told me about a 25 year old woman whose pregnancy kick started breast cancer. Terrible fast growing cancer. The woman decided to wait until after the pregnancy to start chemo. She never made it. They did an emergency C-section on her and the baby died too. Really sad. So, in this case, I woud have recommend an abortion.

Why is it, most of the same people, that rail againest entitlements, are also the ones that want to take a woman's choice away?....

I've heard of a few of these cases. It's a difficult choice. I mean if your baby survives they grow up without a mother. If you have an abortion, the life you have grown to love dies, and you feel like you should have died too. It's a terrible choice to have to make.

Government should stay out of a woman's choice. It is her choice. Just don't make me pay for it.

Hard to understand, since Romney, last night on 60 Minutes, spoke of much smaller, federal government....yet, they seem to want to govern, from within our bedrooms, quite alot.....

There is none. I looked. There were several about lowering the age to 16 from 18 but none stating that there was anyone wanting to lower it to 12.

All I'm saying is that abortion should be a woman's choice, but it should not be subsidized by our tax dollars. It's not a very difficult concept. If you want one, go pay for it. If you know you can't pay for it, then don't engage in unprotected sex. It's WAY past time in this country where people should take some personal accountability for their choices.

Although I am completely and entirely pro-choice, I agree. Of course, I don't think ANY health care should be provided by taxpayer dollars. I'm tired carrying the do-nothings of society.

Understand...but remain a little conflicted...there is a definate irony, in decrying the costs of many entitlements, then saying we can not afford, to keep poor women, from unwanted pregnancys.....so then, we as taxpayers get to fund, the minimal 18 years of raising poor and dependant children.....Understand the Catch 22?

Whether or not to terminate a pregnancy must be a terrible choice under any circumstances. However, I do not believe that the government in any form has the right to make that choice for a woman, any woman. I do not base my vote on this issue, but I will speak up for EVERY woman's right to choose.
Yea you got me there. I tend to lean toward little government involvement in personal choices. However, if you give some an inch they take a mile. I think abortions are becoming so common place that teens and young women assume, I don't need to use protection/birth control because I can always have an abortion. I've seen young girls talking about it as if they just a mole removed. I doubt they seriously understood what they were doing. It should be highly regulated. Late term, Partial-birth and live birth abortions just disgust me. Sure there are cases where it is necessary due to mothers health. But there are cases where it is just a lack of responsibility on the parents' part. But that's just me, you might feel differently. And people will say it's the woman's right... but personally I feel the fetus/baby has rights just as much as she does.

Well, people show more passion about how animals are treated. If dogs and cats were getting their fetuses aborted because the owners didn't want to deal with puppies and kittens, PITA and every animal rights activist in a 2000 mile radius would be on it like white on rice.

But to many, they say a Human Fetus is just a clump of cells. Nothing more than a blood clot to some. A blood clot to be expelled and disposed of. That saddens me.

You are stretching it there a tad aren't you? It's not like anyone is telling woman they can't or shouldn't have sex. But when you make life just to take it away like it never mattered, like it didn't exist, like it is trash to be disposed of... that is where you draw the line. It's not just the woman's body. I hate when people say that. It's so trite and ignorant.
