Originally it was supposed to be sometime this fall but I'm not sure how on schedule they are. I'll be happy to have it open, it'll give Jewel and Berkots a little competition.

Your correct. I wouldnt buy anyting there for quality just food and paper products.Its far better than giving all my loot to jewel.

It will look like a friggin space ship has landed in N.L. Just the light pollution is going to make me nuts. How about the subdivision located across the Metra tracks from the store. I bet that developer doesn't sell another lot. "And here we have a beautiful view of the WalMart store. Isn't it lovely?" Yeah, that'll go over big!

I am glad they are building here. I like many of the products and the prices. Tired of being raped by these local New Lenox stores. Last I heard they may open in June 2011, and I believe I read that in the Herald. I know about walmart taking away good paying jobs and all that but when you live on limited resources you have to do what you have to do. I bought two per of Rx Glasses there for one tenth the cost of what I was paying at Pearle Vision. I took two extra vacations with the savings. That seems like a good thing to me.

I've never thought that Walmart was such a good deal. I've compared over the year and I just do not see the huge savings if you are a careful shopper. Now, I'm not one of these people that is against Walmart philosophically, I just don't think the savings, particularly on groceries, is all that much.

Its on rt 30 its not residential...and towns need big box stores to function...it will be a great complex with great stores...good job new lenox you know how to run a town unlike your surounding neighbors

Not everything at WalMart is cheaper if you can catch sale items elsewhere. You just have to know your prices.

If they have a gas station...that will be awesome to get some relief at the pump. NL has HORRID gas prices, usually up to .10 cents more than anywhere.

Yes, you can continue to pay twice what something is worth, by going to Jewel or Kmart.
I will save money, by buying stuff at Walmart. I will feed my family, and save money to go on a vacation. Money to stimulate the economy.
