Mary McGee hasn't had an original thought since the first grade. She is the perfect puppet. She does exactly what Carter tells her to do. She is so far up Bartoszek's ass, she doesn't even know where she ends and Kinga begins. She looked green Wednesday night when Kinga announced the resolution that the village elected officials for go their salary for the rest of the year. Is she the next one to be thrown under the bus ?

I think it would be appropriate to try to really come up with a list of initiatives that she has helmed or steered through the village since sitting on the board. Yes, she has showed up and kept her seat warm and doing that has helped her to collect her $600 a month but more than that I'm not sure that we can look back on her term and see that she has really stepped up and done more than the bare minimum for the residents. If someone can list some really innovative, interesting, acts or things she has done to benefit the residents this would be a good chance to list them up for discussion. From what I can see there isn't a lot there and it really wouldn't serve the village to benefit to see her put up there for another term to just do more of the same sitting for nothing.

And does she really understand Public Works? other than to order uniforms for Public Work employees mandated by Carter. That would probably be her most brainy acomplishment. Nice lady though.:>)

LTLT- Would agree that she seems to be a nice lady. I don't think that she seems to understand PW very well. Mandating uniforms is a good idea and I would give her points for that. I don't think that it is enough to carry her through another term. I really just don't see her doing a lot to justify her re-election to the board for another term. Other than the fact it would be beneficial to the current board to keep her there as she does not ever vote against what they want. So that would be a plus for them.

Heard a rumor the Comissioner McGee and his Wife Trusteee McGee were having a very heated discussion outside the Park District building. I wonder was Commissioner McGee Telling his wife Trustee McGee that he needs public works to help clean up the fest on voertime this weekend? Will the park district pay the Village for the services of Public Works and the Police Dept? Does the Village eat the overtime it will have to pay it's employees? These questions need to be answered

These questions need to be answered Interesting question. I wonder how that works out. Since Trustee Pastorino announced last year that the Village would forgo all festivals and events due to budget constraints it's an good question to ask at a board meeting I think. Does the money for the police, clean up ect, come from the Park District? If so I can't imagine the park district has all the excess funding for that do they? With all of these "intergovermental agreements" things are starting to get murky. It's also very confusing because it almost looks like the Village is sponsoring the car show the way it is worded on the website but I don't believe that is possible since they have stated that all fests are currently on hold. Also, my neighbor called the park district yesterday to get more information about the bands and times and the person that answered the phone didn't have it. The catalog that came in the mail for the park district didn't have a time table for the events either. Would have been nice to see something like that go out to the houses or listed somewhere easy to find.

There are just a lot of things that I don't get about what is going on in the park district currently that I wish they would answer. I read the blurb about their summerfest in the DVN and I wish that Commissioner McGee would spent less time sniping at the past administration and people that disagree with him and more time explaining what's going on. What is the status of all of the improvements that Mr. Vallez promised at the unveiling of the Veteran's memorial? Some that were listed were resurfacing the basketball courts, putting in a "tot lot", and possibly a splash pad. Where are we at with this? Where is the funding for the lighting project that they applied for from the township? Also I would like to know since the village entered into an intergovermental agreement with the Park district to allow them to use the Lipinski Center is the village seeing any of the funding that is gained from that or is it just going directly into the park districts account? That's the thing I don't like about these "intergovermental agreements" when you have spouses sitting on both boards there is a vested interest in getting what your spouse wants pushed through. Something just sits funny there and there hasn't been enough abstaining from Trustee McGee on these in the past.

Mr McGee only does what he wants to do. He thinks he is god's gift to politics because of his family relation in Bridgeview. His brother is director of Public Works who would've guessed? I think that's the reason his wife was given this committee. Mrs McGee does as she is told. Earlier this year. Mr McGee was run out of the village hail because he thought it was his job to supervise the public works guys painting. His finest move was hiring Mr Vallez. Hoping he can right a wayward ship. Now it looks as if they have lost $317,000 awarded by Lyons twp. Seams that the Park district doesn't want the lighting project that was submitted by the park district and approved by Lyons twp. Who is going to take the blame for this fiasco?

I could really care less who Comissioner McGee is related to in any adjoining town that adds nothings to his credibility of what he can do for this town. I think that it's tactless to try to recruit people in your brochure to come 'volunteer' while you snipe at people in the press. It doesn't exactly encourage residents to want to feel involved.
I don't understand why it would be his business to supervise the public works as it has nothing to do with the park district, nor do I understand how someone that would have a job and should be busy focusing on the park district should have that kind of free time??
Spending the kind of money they did on a 'consultant' to prop the comissioners up to make them look good is highly questionable. The fact is that no one comes to park board meetings because there was a point in time when they were being moved and cancelled on a regular basis. Who could even keep up with the meetings in this town anymore? Not like the media consultant/web consultant/web design person could list them in a concise manner in one place on the village website.
I would still like to see a list of things that she has done while in office that have really changed the village for the better. Aside from the recent pre election PR stunt of 'donating' their salaries. Nice gesture, I will say that, would have been more meaningful had it not been going into an election season I don't think that the voters are that naive.

Mrs McGee has not had one single initiative to her credit. It is sad she is a follower not leader. It would be nice he actually step out from under the control of Kinga and Carter to see what she would bring to the table

The sad thing about Mary McGee is that she has no independent voice as a village trustee or in her own household. Because if she did, she would throw that worthless husband out the door. Then she would learn to make decisions on her own that could help her breakfree of Kinga's control. Mary is a good person, however she is scared b/c she has been suffocated by Roy for so many years. Please Mary wake up and use your knowledge and strength as a mother to break free of these idiots. Remember Mary your children need to see you as a independent thinker and someone who gives a damn.

If you read it correctly this was just basic advise from one woman to another.

First amendment right, going, going, gone! The first amendment does not give you the right to say anything you want. There is such a thing as libel and defamation. Generally speaking, defamation is the issuance of a false statement about another person, which causes that person to suffer harm. Slander involves the making of defamatory statements by a transitory (non-fixed) representation, usually an oral (spoken) representation. Libel involves the making of defamatory statements in a printed or fixed medium, such as a public forum, magazine or newspaper. Typically, the elements of a cause of action for defamation include: A false and defamatory statement concerning another; The unprivileged publication of the statement to a third party (that is, somebody other than the person defamed by the statement); If the defamatory matter is of public concern, fault amounting at least to negligence on the part of the publisher; and Damage to the plaintiff.

The sad thing when Mary was elected she was an independent thinker, however with the negative influences surrounding her through the years things have changed. She was watching the books and involved in helping Justice regain respect. However with Roy it is all about him and the Park District. Nobody cares where the money comes to pay the bills or lack of. It is like adding fuel to a sinking ship. You need to care about your community and give respect. Our trustees job is to work for the good of their community not themselves (Kinga and Technicraft). Perfect example is the monument, which is beautiful and is well-deserved by the veterans. However with a few hundred dollars and lots of love it could of stayed in its previous location. The veterans (our residents)voiced there opinions and sadly nobody listened. Therefore, I am asking each and every trustee to please consider us the residents before you continue to waste our money and disrespect our village. Being elected is not about what you gain from this position. It is all about what you can do to bring honor to the seat you have been elected to. That is why we ask each and every resident to be aware of what is happening with taxpayor money and make changes in the next election for candidates in Justice, Illinois and along this great nation. LET OUR VOICES BE HEARD THROUGH OUR BALLOTS AND LET THE 1ST AMENDMENT STAND STRONG.
