I am hearing things about this election. First off, is anybody gonna run against our wonderful mayor? I also hear Sherry nor Dale either one are running for re-election because they are sick of the bullcrap that goes on. I hear the Abbott chick decided not to run. Ron House is a pretty good guy and I have heard nothing about him. Max Summers changes his mind from day to day if he's running and what he's running for, and seems to be pissing a lot of key people off lately. Jennifer Sullivan I have heard nothing about. Dwight Roberson picked up two petitions for some reason but why? Who does that leave? Oh yeah, Romani, I don't know much about him but I don't think he'd borrow a squad car if he got in. Am I missing anybody? Let's get some real useful info on this forum if at all possible.

Not Billy Bob, I am just a 25+ year resident of West City that has seen so much bullcrap go on over the years, board members telling other board members how they are going to vote. Doing what they want without talking to the mayor or city attorney, the clicks, backslapping, and other bullcrap, that I finally decided that there needs to be people on the board that have the balls to stand up for what is right and what is wrong. The board is there to run the village and be responsible to the voters and business owners of the village. It was not meant to be a classical Illinois political shithole like Springfield. It is time there was some new blood on the board. People with new ideas, no axes to grind, and have the village and it's peoples interest at heart. As I said on another thread. My 18 year old son got a speeding ticket. Yes, my niece is married to the chief of police. My son asked me to get him out of it. I told him, NO WAY! You can check at the courthouse because he was made to pay his ticket. I was not going to have it quashed. He did wrong and had to pay. As I said before, I think for myself and would vote with the people of West City in mind, and no one is going to tell me how I will vote.

Something I think is really entertaining in this town is that it's like the movie "Clue". Crap hits the fan and everybody points fingers at each other denouncing any guilt of their own, even though they are all guilty of spreading it around making it worse. And as much as I dislike Bucket Fart I have to say he isn't the one doing it. It's your wonderful board and employees. They keep it going like the clap and then bitch because it affects them indirectly. Maybe if they would all just keep their mouths shut and do the jobs they were hired to do, things would go a lot smoother. And if Batmayor had any balls he would call them all in and tell them to straighten their asses up. But that will never happen because he's a "nice" guy.

This election will be quite the ball-buster if I do say so myself. A slew of good people (minus ChuckDog) running for various positions.

However, it is really, really hard to see where people lean towards in terms of who they like and so on.

You people talk about how Connie doesn't do her job....funny. I remember Jimmy Reed saying she didn't do her job....this coming from the man who sits at the city hall all day. That is the ultimate case of the pot calling the kettle black.

In actual defense of Chuck, I don't think he was for Jennifer ousting his sister. That was a situation created by a few on the board who didn't have the majority.

If you look at things from the right light, ChuckDog may very well be a lame duck mayor if things fall into place this election. yes, he will still appoint Samantha Abbott to his unexpired 2-year term, but you win some, you lose some.

I truly hope Jennifer Sullivan can get that 2-year seat, which will stick in the craw of ChuckDog. If Dale, Sherri, Max, Ron, and/or Jennifer get elected (I don't care in which order or what seat) it will be a long two years for ChuckDog.

Also, I want to thank ChuckDog for following me around last night. From BK to the square, he followed me to the Square, almost ass-ending me twice. The company was so great, douche bag.

I still think this is interesting. This person must not have picked up their petition from the city, cause that info would be all over the place by now, since, well, the mouths out there can't keep a secret to save their lives!

You're right, the petition wasn't picked up from the city. There are a couple of places to get them. But I am told they aren't going to file because of a conflict with their job. And I would also like to add something. Since I am not using my real name this isn't that hard for me to admit. But this is for all of you who read these forums to see and you can bash me too if you disagree and I know some of you will. I recently had the opportunity to have to deal with the mayor indirectly. And much to my surprise, he really isn't that bad of a guy. I hated him growing up and wished he would fall off the face of the earth on a daily basis. But after what I learned about him and a couple of the things he has done in the past couple of years it made me feel awful about the things I have said about him. Some people have done some pretty shitty things to the guy and how he has and continues to treat them deserves some note. He isn't the arrogant, rude, rowdy guy I knew as a kid. But he has grown into an generous, caring, and forgiving man. He has sense about him when he speaks and is very sincere. So I am rescinding all the statements I have made about him. I think if those of you who dislike him were to take the time to talk to the guy, you would see what I mean.

Don't really know him, but I am sure your kind words will get you a place on the board or a nice job. Heard there's an IRS investigation into Mr. D's for paying their employees cash. Maybe you can run over there and save them. I so hope so, I need my grilled chicken sandwich about 2 times a week.
I am thinking, that West city's mayor IS 'Not Billy Bob'. Nothing looks better than for someone, like yourself, to get on here and bash YOURSELF, and then all of the sudden have this HUGE change of heart. "Oh, he is such a nice guy....etc". He may be a real prince, but only YOU would know that.
So really, Not Billy Bob, you were very misleading in your statement that someone had picked up a petition for mayor, and now all of the 'sudden', they have a conflict? Really? That is too funny! I so hope that being the Mayor of West City, sure gets you somewhere in life, maybe one day, we will all see you run for a higher position, like Governor. And for your info twit, I have a life other than this forum and it's NOYB why I haven't posted in a bit. And the guy who picked up a petition at Dobils office for mayor is a relative of mine, so that's why I have the "misleading info" regarding that. Some people get these things called ( J O B S ) and have to work for long periods of time. Kinda like a coal miner. But hey, forget all that I just said. You seem to have it all figured out don't you. No, I probably don't have it all figured out, and thanks for pointing that out to me.
However, I have not been anyone except Michelle. Just like you are not Amy Mumbower, Darren West City, No Name, etc. You seem to have more going for you than that! I would have to second the motion from Who Cares and say "WHY DON'T YOU RUN"? You do seem to have knowledge and you do seem to care about West City.
