Cabin still standing but needs some support

Full story: Chronicle-Tribune

JONESBORO - The cabin that once belonged to Jonesboro's founder traveled only a few blocks to it's current home in Jonesboro Park, but it has come a long way since then.

This cabin still stands largely due to the efforts of my late Aunt Barbara Hewitt. She fought to keep the cabin from being torn down long ago. The cabin was dedicated to my Aunt in a ceremony held at the Jonesboro park shortly after her passing in May of 1992 however there is nothing that commemorates that ceremony or the dedication of the cabin to my Aunt. I would like to see a small plaque put there in memory of that occasion so that her efforts are not forgotten.
Thank you

I don't know the reason for the comment from Mr. Holloway, nor do I care to know. I suspect possibly he doesn't understand commitment, dedication or community preservation.
As for the other comment about purchasing the plaque myself. I would think that the town would commemorate the dedication of the cabin to my Aunt.
It isn't my place to do so, although I would, gladly!
Had I thought that the words of dedication were hollow I wouldn't have bothered to be in attendance that day.
It seems a great deal is made of the cabin being there now. When my Aunt fought to save it there was little interest.
There were quite a few in attendance when the cabin was dedicated to my Aunt. I'm glad that the community of Jonesboro as a whole didn't share the opinion of Mr. Holloway. It's a shame some people feel compelled to share such inappropriate and ill mannered impudence .

Daily Horoscope for December 27

Capricorn

You'll have a fabulous time if you're longing to see what's on offer in the sales, especially if you want to buy yourself some new clothes or cosmetics. However, you won't pay much attention to how much you're spending, and may even deliberately avoid thinking about it. Do yourself a favor and don't go overboard if you can't afford it.
