My sister would very much like to send you a letter about The Horse Whisperer. She sent one to California, but it came back. She doesn't have a computer but it would be nice if she could get the letter to you. I would be sure she got the address. It seems to be like a part of her life. She doesn't want anything from you, just for you to know how she feels about the movie. She's in her mid fifties so is not a teeny bopper. Thank you

Even though Robert Redford is such a natural, intuitive actor (I love, love his films)he is even more the Human Being. Staying at Sundance is a remarkably peaceful and rewarding experience. His love and respect for nature, and all that implies, is heart warming. That and his altruistic way of "giving a leg up" to artists of all types are the hallmark of who, I believe, he is. Yes...he is an incredibly beautiful man inside and out. A non-Hollywood-ite icon. The mold was broken. One request from this humble fan...when I'm lying on my death bed, all I want is for him to sit by my bedside and tell me a story with that amazing, peace inducing, sexy voice of his as I drift from this existance.

i am a big redford fan. i was involved in a lawsuit in the us supreme court for invasion of privacy against the times. 8 years of litigation. i want to know if there is a way to submit my story for him to look at. i witnessed a murder and altho the killer was never found, the times printed my name in the paper.8+ years in courts and i was victorious. my lawsuit changed the invasion of privacy laws in the high courts which means in a nut shell, that the paper can not print a name of a witness in the paper. they can still put rape victims name on a parade float of the witness is a little safer as this is carved in stone. i really want my story told and he is the one that can do it. Is there an email addy for him? last castle rocks!

Cpld anybody believe I was in a class with Robert Redford at The University of Colorado (Art) in 1955 and do not remembe him although all my friends do remember that I talked to him every day ....they say he was short, had too many freckles, white eye lashes and I did not like him. Was I crazy or what? I have been in love with him some forty years now and will watch anything he does, soap commercial, to forest report to movie. Call stupid!Happy Birthday any day. Bob and I hope Itreated you a little better than my friends tell me I was.

Just the other day I was pulling up information about Barbra and I noticed The way we were I watched it back in the 70"s> I loved it then and now I am 56 years old and it seemed more beautiful and romatic than ever. I simply love Robert Redford and Barbra. Barbra is the most down to earth and talented people I have ever known so is Robert. I found this movie and have watched it atleast 6 or more times this is no joke.I hate I missed the interview on November 16,2010 but I have pulled up bits and pieces of it. Robert Redford is so damn sexy and natural.I want to thank both of the for making such a brillant movie

Hi Sunflower,I can sense now how my posting sounds disrespectful. Yes Mr. Redford definitely does deserve respect for his large body of work and for his deep concern for independent filmakers as well as his passion for the environment. But, really his work and his looks are not the main reason I am interested in contacting him. I feel in my gut there may be something important for either one of us or both of us to learn..I know it soounds odd.I guess it is kind of difficult to express in words.
HI Ellen: Your gut feeling that Robert should follow his intuition was right on! Two years just about to the day, he went against his own beliefs to "follow the heart" and took a step that really wasn't good for him. I think you expressed in words what your own instinct was saying.

I get the same effect when I see him in movie. Horse Whisperer I watch over and over. The dance/love scene with Kristen is almost too much to survive. He has "great" hands!

Surry was a square-rigged transport ship of 443 tons burthen bm. She had an overall length of 117 ft. 6 ins., a breadth above the gunwales of 29 ft. 6 ins, and a draught, when loaded, of 18 ft. She was copper-sheathed, and had quarter galleries, with a bust of Minerva for a figurehead. When carrying prisoners and stores in 1816 she drew 16 ft. 3 ins. forward and 17 ft. 2 ins. aft, being down by the stern eleven inches. She carried a crew of thirty and was armed with fourteen cannons. When the Surry was originally built at Harwich in 1811 she had two decks with a height between decks of 5 ft. 8 ins. However, about 1818,(Im 5'8") she must have received a major refit - the Shipping Registers after 1819 record the vessel as having three decks. She was owned by the well-known London firm of F. & C.F. Mangles. She was described for many years as a first-class ship built of first-class materials.

He is taller than me , better looking also, but we do have the boat thing in common.
maybe next time ,)

– Isla Angel de La Guarda – Puerto Refugio

Puerto Refugio,  located at the far Northern tip of Isla Angel de La Guarda, The white sail ,"Roca Vela," to be precise (Sail Rock).

Are you sure Robert Redfords 5'9" ?

This sail has 3 corners, the one (sailrock) by Russia, has 4. How is that for balance?

 Orion's Belt
Here is more on "In the middle" or indications of world balance.
When looking to heaven at night, I always spot three stars in a row, on an angle .
The three belt stars were collectively known by many names in many cultures. Arabic terms include  Al Nij 'the Belt', Al Nasak 'the Golden Grains or Nuts' and, in modern Arabic,Al al;aqq 'the Accurate Scale Beam'. In Chinese mythology they were known as The Weighing Beam
The belt was also the Three Stars mansion (simplified Chinese:; traditional Chinese: pinyin of the Chinese constellations.)
In pre-Christian Scandinavia, the belt was known as Frigg's Distaff's distaff.Similarly Jacob's Staff and Peter's Staff were European biblical derived terms, as were the Three Magi, or the Three Kings. Valsomething and Kalevan Sword are terms from Finnish mythology.
I removed chinese , arab, and finnish symbols and/or words because they will not transfer properly to this forum.
The Seri people of northwestern Mexico call the three belt stars Hapj (a name denoting a hunter) which consists of three stars: Hap (mule deer), Haamoja (pronghorn), and Mojet (bighorn sheep). Hapis in the middle and has been shot by the hunter; its blood has dripped onto Tiburón Island.
In Latin America, this asterism is known as Las Tres Marías which stand for The Three Marys in Spanish and Portuguese respectively.
In the Star Trek episode The City on the Edge of Forever, Captain James T. Kirk references.
I was looking up the stars when I found sailrock

Sail Rock, or Parus Rock (Russian: Skala Parus), is a natural sandstone monolith of late Cretaceous age[1] located on the shore of the Black Sea, in Krasnodar Krai, Russia. It resembles the outline of a ship's sail, hence its name.

The monolith lies 17 km to the southeast of Gelendzhik, near the village of Praskoveyevka (which is about 500 m from the coast) and the farmstead of Dzhankhot (approximately twice that distance from the coast). Sail Rock has a sheer vertical slope confronting the shore of the sea, isolated from the mass of basic rock by geological forces. It is more than three-fourths revealed by the tide and lies perpendicular to the coast. What is most remarkable about this landmark is its proportions. While the cliff is only a little more than one metre thick, its height is about 25 m and its length about 20. Thus, the form of the cliff is described as resembling the outline of a quadrangular sail.

An opening of unclear origin is located in the sail, approximatively 2.5 metres above the ground. Many guides state that the formation was a defence against mountain artillery during the Caucasian War. However, this version of the origin of the opening is under some doubt. In 1903, S. Vasyukov, who was investigating the Black Sea coast, wrote after the inspection of the cliff that it was "[..] shot from a battleship by seamen, they released 4 projectiles, but the wall remained firm, although the traces are noticeable, but they nowhere opened the rock.
