Did anyone get this upset when mosques are vandalized. No you chrisitians cheer the destruction of other religious Icons that are contrary to your beliefs.

All this from a religion that was founded by a pagan, for a person that has never been historically proven to exist.

On the other had, there historical proof that Mohammed, Budda, and many other "Prophets" existed, contrary to christianity.

Catholics: Gay is bad and evil, but its ok for our priests to be pedophiles, and by the way we are going to help them get away with it.
Not true.

I, and many of my fellow Americans feel horrified when any house of worship is intentionally vandalized or damaged, or destroyed.

Jesus (if that is who you refer to) Is solidly placed in history, and in organized religion; as are Mohammed and Budda, not to mention Zarathustra. In fact,

You show a complete lack of historical knowledge, stick to hedonism, it better suits you.

You are right about the evasion of responsibility for Priest-pedophiles. The Bisops and Cardinals, many who still occupy their Episcopal Sees.

These criminals must all be routed out.
They probably will not be, as the RC hierarchy is extremely top-down.

The RC Church will pay the price for this monsterous evil and criminal collusion for decades.

That said, the desecration of mosques, or their opposite religio-equivelent, icons, or the burning of churches, or the desecration of statues, are all wrong, and condemned.

Sorry, but he didn't say "that he knows", read his statement again.
Kerrie,
I recomment that you see a psychologist. You seem to be afflicted with "Amelia Bedilia Syndrome"

just to get you over this:

I will parse it out.

'It seems to me ' denotes opinion. In this case my obervation thet so few people who call themselves Christian have a real feeling for this injunction:
"Do unto others as you would have others do unto you."

It does not denote, or infer, that I have intervied 100% of all Christians. Please, move on.

Here are some more that you might have missed:
Judge not that ye be not judged.

And now, I'll judge you:
Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest haply they trample them under their feet, and turn and rend you.

But: Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

And, so as not to neglect President GW Bush:
Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves. By their fruits ye shall know them.

And, the one that I believe that you have the most to learn from:
And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

Ponder the meaning of this, and when you get it, post again.

No need to get nasty, my point was you don't know 99% of the Christians & you are not their's or anyone elses judge. You don't know whats in there hearts. And its easy to quote the bible, harder for us sinners to live it.

Seems to me there would be no wars if religious people would quit bickering over whose god is more real. Whatever happened to compassion, tolerance and acceptance of someone with different views from your own?

almost every religion has persecuted and been persecuted by other religions. we claim that gods word spreads love and forgiveness. but although few of us practice being good we never get it right because we do it for the sake of god. its time we realize that god doesnt have to be the reason we do good. we can do good just for the sake of being good. if such a thing as good and evil actuall exists. religion just increases hate . but if we didnt make wars over religion we'd do it over something else. cause its just in out nature.
