Uh-huh.
Obama sure killed our nation's economy in the few months he has been in office. The economy was much stronger at the end of Bush's eight-year reign. Yup.

Ya know I’m not a fan of the guy in the big house but these people that have nothing to say but president and party bash are so poorly educated I sometimes wonder how they actually make it through a day.

and now that the Federal government is subsidizing car purchases and new home sales, with the promise of a huge healthcare cluster f*ck, the rest of the world is bailing out of dollars. Great point about the dollar, it's getting crushed. Gold, my friends, gold...

well he DID preside over the internet bubble. But, more importantly, he vigorously pursued banks for not lending to 'low income' borrowers, subscribing to the mantra that homeownership was a right and not a privilege. And, if you want to get crazy silly, you can research Federal Reserve research reports that show annual sub-prime mortgages written as a % of annual total mortgages written began accelerating during the Clinton Administration.

Bottom line, if you subscribe to the fact that this financial meltdown was a result of people borrowing well above their means...and I am one of those, then blame [not necessarily 100%] falls squarely with the Clinton Administration as much as the Bush Administration.

You make a valid point. Too bad Bush didn't correct Clinton's misguided social experiment. There indeed is plenty of blame to spread around.

You mean the NAFTA that was actually proposed by George H.W. Bush that Congressional HIll Democrats fought tooth-and-nail against until Clinton promised to make it's passage a "priority" during his campaing in '92?

well I'M of the opinion that a nation of fast-food workers and dry-cleaning operators cannot afford to own homes in the first place, and the second we started signing these "cheap labor" deals that sold our manufacturing sectors to third-world slave nation hellholes and began robbing our coffers of tarrif dollars that shored up our levees, maintained our bridges, and funded our firefighting crews we sealed our fate. Importing illegal immigrants and amnestizing tens-of-millions at the drop of a hat every decade or so while they receive full access to every public-dollar assistance program while contributing nothing in income taxes during the wait certainly does'nt help the overall situation, either.

well then, would'nt it be more correct to blame the architect of NAFTA, George H. W. Bush, for the heartache the results of that treaseonous legislation, especially when during his term in office the Democrats railed against it as a horribly conceived idea and fought and fought against it's passage, then to blame the man who simply acquiesced to Republican demands in order to break a congressional deadlock at the time?

thats what they want you to believe but i think they believe that themselves. clinton left us with a surplus of money and the first 9 months bush was in office. we were in a deficit and it has been growing steadily due to all the unfunded programs, the unfunded wars and the unfunded tax cuts for the wealthy that the bush administration put into place and they keep blaming obama. that wheel was turning all the 8 years bush was president until he was leaving office and implemented the tarp fund. they even bashed the one vacation obama took but said nothing about the 1/3 of his presidency that bush spent on vacation. i listen to none of them.
