I don't understand. Marijuana in it's natural form isn't harmful - it becomes harmful when you add drugs and chemicals to it to make it stronger.

Yet, cigarettes are perfectly legal and give people lung cancer, asthma, emphysema, and other lung problems. Even if you don't smoke cigarettes, just being around the smoke gives you the EXACT SAME HEALTH PROBLEMS AS IF YOU WERE A SMOKER.

Marijuana isn't even a drug UNTIL YOU ADD CHEMICALS TO IT, meanwhile cigarettes are made with harmful chemicals to keep people addicted and isn't considered a drug. These so-called drug laws are ass-backwards.

Agreed. Make it legal. Regulate it. Bring in new tax revenue. Same restrictions as alcohol: no minors and no DUIs, etc.

BTW, I don't smoke it but support the right of those who wish to. It's a plant, for pete's sake.

Ummm... Weed doesn't need anything added to it. The chemicals are added to make it stronger and grow faster. I agree the law need to change regarding it.

But alcohol isn't illegal - as long as you're 21 you can buy as many bottles of alcohol as you want. If that's the case, people should be able to buy marijuana if they're 21 as long as they show ID

Exactly. I don't smoke anything either, but it doesn't make sense as to why a naturally grown plant is illegal, especially when you have cigarettes which causes various cancers and diseases, and alcohol which causes liver cancer
if you consume too much.

I have not heard of ANY terminal diseases or cancers caused from marijuana.

It serves no purpose to lock people up for marijuana when the jail space can be be better used in keeping violent criminals behind bars. Keeping someone in Jail for 7lbs of Marijuana amounts to spending 65k over two years detaining them when a citation or a stiff tax could produce revenue for the state.

It is an absolute waste of time and money prosecuting these cases.

The problem is that to legalize marijuana there is nothing keeping people from growing their own.

$8.00 a pack and noone is growing tabacco
