In my town if you need a handicap parking spot in front of your house you have to pay for a permit. When a lady in my town paid for her handicap spot she went to the council meeting to complain that some other handicaped person started parking there. The council told her anyone who is handicaped can park there. If it was my I would want my money back.
If someone else is handicap and is parking there, then you need to go back and tell them to put a second one in for you. If they refuse then you can complain about that. Every handicap person who is really handicap must have a placard card or plate. Now if they don't do this for you then you take it up at a meeting. As far as paying a fee, I don't know about that I live in a condo site and the association has more than one h.c. parking for us that are h.c. Please check your municipal building for the proper procedure. Good luck....and I hope this person parking in that spot is truley h.c. cause if he is not call the police and they will site him. He must have a card or plate.

Seriously. Take your "parking laws" and stick it up all your asses. I dont care what ANY law says!!! If someone decides they're going to get in someone elses car and drive off with it especially DRUNK and more than likely a red neck who screws their sister deserves to get the shackles on them!! Perhaps morning call should also state that the back alley behind said house was a SHEET of ice and if anyone here can honestly say they'd like to tackle a sheet of ice with their infant child in the car you are just a "superb" parent and should probably get yourself "fixed".. I am completely FOR the couple.
When you're driving on that road how about you PAY ATTENTION to your surroundings!!! THAT way if theres a car with its 4 ways on, guess what,*gasp* you'll SEE IT!!! Wow Doesn't take a rocket scientist!!
Oh and also if the morning call would care to state that the couple was in the house for a whole whopping 5 or 10 minutes than you'd all be singing a different tune.
To all of you who are SOO opposed to this, dont sit there and act like you ppl have never sat with your 4 ways on or left your car running when you went to a mail box or broke SOME kind of law you all probably talk on your cell phones when you drive which is illegal. Half of you probably dont use your seat belts
So your all a bunch of hypocrites who are too concerned over "parking" laws with no lives but to worry about where someone else is PARKED!!
HEY here's an idea.....if you gotta park a block away ITS EXERCISE!! Not gonna kill ya!!! I have a PUBLIC drive way at my apartment and sometimes my neighbors get to the spots before me sooooo I sometimes have to park a lil bit aways. You dont see me calling the cops whining like a lil baby "OHH SOMEONE TOOK MY SPOT" you also dont see me breaking into these peoples cars and driving them a block away while inebriated

You call everyone morons and hypocrites, but first you say that people should be allowed to double-park if their 4-ways are on, but then you say it won't kill you to park a block away "if you gotta park a block away ITS EXERCISE!! Not gonna kill ya!!! "

Why didn't the couple in this story park a block away and walk then?!

So, if there were two, they could drop off the one and the child, then go park. Simple.

Ha...93 ignorant comments. Not one mentions that this street has NO parking. It is narrow, on a hill with a curve. It is amazing that no one has ever been hit head on, trying to go around these "parked" cars. They are there every day!
I think Jon works nights...I don't blame him. I've wanted to hit these illegally parked cars several times.
Good luck Jon.
