The Apple wood Grille is a joke!!! The ownership group is the worst collection of sub-humans ever! What was once great about this place is now, almost, ALL GONE. That includes some servers, some bartenders and the majority of the kitchen staff (Including the head chef and the sous chef). I hear they now are changing their entire menu to one "like Chili's or Applebee’s". This is a direct quote from their new "Chef". There by totally erasing the food that made this place good. THE OWNERS DON'T GIVE A CRAP ABOUT THEIR EMPLOYEES! The GM physically assaulted one of the kitchen staff and yelled obscenities at him at the top of his lungs during dinner on a Friday night with a full bar and dining room, all within earshot. Many diners heard/saw everything. Clearly he has no business being a GM but he's the son of the owner so I guess that should tell you something. Another indicator the owners don't care about their employees is, they have had the restaurant up for sale for the past 4-5 months and have not told one employee anything about it! The owners also made the employees come to work for more than A WEEK AND A HALF while there was RAW SEWAGE pumping out continuously in the basement. THE RESTARAUNT SHOULD HAVE BEEN CLOSED!!!!!!! I'm pretty sure that is a severe health code violation. But rather than close, the owners had their employees spray air freshener around the restaurant to cover the sewage smell. Anything that made this place special has been stripped away and it will only continue to decline. Clearly it appears the owners are trying to cut costs as much as possible to make it look better on paper to a potential buyer. The new breakfast buffet is another horrible idea from the owners. It consists of limited items and they don't ever have enough food to serve the entire buffet from start to finish they always run out of selections. The owners stand around and complain about every customer that walks thru the door. As I mentioned earlier, THEY ARE DESPICABLE PEOPLE! Please do yourself a favor and DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE! If you are in the mood for food like "Chili's or Applebee’s" then go to those restaurants. They at least know what they're doing! DON'T WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY HERE. THEY WILL NOT APPRECIATE IT AT ALL!!!!!!!!!! I just wish I could rate this restaurant lower than 1 star; 1 star is a complement to this place! Here’s to hoping someone with half a brain and some experience buys the place and gives a crap about it and their employees. The biggest shame in all of this is the restaurant would have been so successful with good owners.

After reading the comments I just had to visit this place. I've been twice, yes Twice. The first was to check out the dinner menu. What a change from the first menu, but in a Thankful way. I couldn't read or understand most of the items that were being offered. The new menu is definitly easier on the wallet. The portion size was spot on, I even had to take some home with me.
I started with the Calamari. YUMMY. I've never had it prepared like this but will ask everytime from now on. The entree was a Raspberry Salmon with Garlic Mashed Potatoes, and sauteed spinach. This was again a winner. I never would have put Raspberries on Salmon but will from now on. I bet it would be good on chicken as well.
Anyways, I took the family for the Sunday Brunch. Even if there wasn't many options it was only $10 "All You Can Eat". I found enough food for me and the entire family. Oatmeal, who ever serves that anymore. It's one of my favorites. Chocolate chip pancakes, and the most incredible sheppards pie I have ever eaten.
So, two visits and not one bad thing. It seems to me as the other comments made were from an ex-employee. Maybe??? I will be a repeat customer from now on. The price is great, the food was fantastic, and the restaurant and the view is incredible.
Visit this place, and make up your own opinion, but it will be good.
