What exactly do you mean about the "Parkland family". Do you mean the bus company, or the school district, or what exactly?

Terribly tragic it would only be expected that people would stand behind the Moyer and Rothrock families.

Did the driver backing that bus have a spotter???? Or was he backing up by his own without checking ???

Why was he backing up the bus??? Every1 knows (people that drive buses) that it is reallly dangerous to back a bus. The driver should of had a spotter. No excuses....

Emma Emma Emma, I am so glad that you are so perfect. So let me get this straight anytime a bus needs to back up - they cannot do so if they do not have a spotter. So for example in a rural town a school bus comes around a corner and finds that the creek has overflowed onto the roadway and the bus driver does not feel it's safe to continue on. So he will need to turn around, but will need to back up to do so. So I guess, because he doesn't have a spotter he will need to sit there until a passerby comes along - right? Or a car parks in front of the bus on a field trip and he cannot go front. Does the driver wait for the driver of the car to return before taking the children home?

IT WAS AN ACCIDENT!!! These will happen. I think it is terrible what happened to this man, but it could have happened if the bus was going straight too.

So maybe you should think about the whole picture before bashing the driver for backing up. Do tractor trailers or campers have spotters at every waking moment? Of course not!

The bus was parked in the garage head-in. Maybe Emma knows a way to get it out without using Reverse.

This could have been avoided simply by backing into the garage. I think this is the way they USED to do it. Why it changed, I don't know.

Yes they should be expected to have a spotter at the garage, especially backing up.

You mention the other scenarios while OUTSIDE of the bus lot.

There are no good excuses for what happened.
