I hope you found relief and solice in your son's placement. Truly the severety of the children that pass through KP varies so much that it is inevitable that you will see and hear so much. And know the amount of children that are helped by KP is tremendous. If they have been admitted to KP they are extremely sick children, mentally and emotionally. Know that I see so much committment and caring to these children of just wanting these children to grow and lead as normal and healthy life as possible. Kidspeace's mission is one that I take to heart. "To give hope, help and healing to all children in crisis" And most of all I pray each and every that they will become very happy and productive adults in this very abusive world.

I can tell you that KP sometimes like to harm us just for the fun of it. I was in the Barton house.

To C.T,Admins,and KP Execs
This is the week were the expression "Crawl under a rock and die" comes into play. Finally all the dirt under KPs fingernails are exposed!!
-Now everyone will know that over the last few years the upper managment of KP has seeked out employees that are unexperienced, under educated, and wet behind the ears, so they can pay them less and abuse their services.
-Now everyone will know that the real reason children are being hurt is because we are severly under staffed ( 3 person take down..ya right, like we have enough people for that)
-Now everyone will know that Kidspeace has a great relationship with the police because we have to call them all the time. Like the riot...on the school bus.... on Interstate 78...in Feb or the riot at the Orchards Hills campus this summer...about 17 people injured (staff & Kids)Plus many more..check the police records!
-Now everyone will know that services are not being provided (but we document) and grant money misuse is a daily activity of KP. ATP was at the bottom of the iceberg..keep on climbing!.... Oops this wasn't mentioned yet...too late!
-Now the Pa Department of Ed will know that the children at the Donely Tech center were getting fake grades for classes they did not have...gym, music, art, health, computers. And some of them are in highschool, isn't faking credits for a diploma..uhm illegal?.....Oops...that wasn't mentioned either!!
-Now everyone will know that this non-profit company is full of *%@# and all for profit. Damm publicity and blogs are a bitch, it brings out all the bad things no one is suppose to know!
-So C.T, Administrators, and Executives now you know you should have paid your employees their worth, treated them with respect, and listened to their concernes becasue *%#@ is about hit the fan and we are enjoying the fresh air!!!!
WOW you couldnt be more correct. finally ppl will know the truth about this great place ma p.o called kidspeace. he told me it was the best place i could be or go to juv. prison til i was 21. if i would have known the shit that went on in there i would have went to jail. i got razor blades in kp. and did i get into trouble? hell no .o let some girl cut me but the bitch hit a vien. did she get into any truoble i think not? its so messed up that you bitch bc staff get hurt well you signed on knowing what could happen to you. so you cant blame anyone BUT YOUR SELF. SO STOP BITCHING AND TAKE RESPONSBLITY FOR YOU ACTIONS.

My son, Anthony is currently in Kidspeace, and I would recommend Kidspeace to anyone who has a troubled child. Prior to Kidspeace my son was totally out of control and I tried every type of intervention imaginable. He was on a downward spiral and I was afraid that he would end up dead. Kidspeace turned him around so that he is now a normal kid who will be coming home soon. He had to be restrained several times, and I know that Kidspeace tried to diffuse the situation first.
your a dumb bi*ch. i hope you know that. you go to kidspeace and get held and tell me everythings ok.

For Mike,
That is an aweful statement to make. That is the kind of thing you might say to a child molester or a rapist, but these are children who were placed in the facility for a reason. It's a good thing you aren't president..It would be the holocaust all over again. Kill those whom you decide are of no worth. If you can not work with these kinds of kids, find a new profession. I am one who believes that kids do need to be restraind for both the child and the employees safety. I do understand that a child age 14 over 200 lbs would be very difficult to control and restrain especially with a weapon in hand, but the child should not have had access to any form of weapon and considering that this was a psychiatric hospital there should be a plan in place for these situations. You need to be prepared for this stuff. Let me ask you this.. why hasn't there been reports of residents killing residents. Strange how a normal mentally functioning person has caused injury or death to a mentally challanged person before another mentally challenged person who doesn't know better. Can't we just focus more on a way to do this without injuring anyone?

I am sorry that I was unclear in my comment. It was meant in response to Mike's statement "I could careless if a kidspeace employee abuses or kills one of these children. The kids in this place are a worthless burden on society. "

You are incorrect.
Neither child died as the result of an asthma attack. One of them was asthmatic, but the autopsy showed he did not have an attack.
Both the Handle With Care method and the restraint method used before that weren't supposed to put pressure on the child's back or otherwise compress the chest or abdomen, but they did.
You are both incorrect. Kidspeace in the second death created their own policy. Kidspeace's policy stated that staff should remove their weight off the child if the staff person weighs 75 pounds more than the client. That was Kidspeace's policy. Not the vendor's policy.

So sad that you feel that way. I will pray every day that you never have a child or grandchild that has a mental illness and has to be hospitalized. But if you do, I pray that you get them the help they need so they don't end up suicidal, addicted to drugs to self medicate, or worse yet, dead from the saddness in their mind. Shame on you.
