For one Wal-Mart did not buy this Property until December 2006. My departed Wife was in the Hospital at the time and I printed out the article to take it in to her in the Hospital so the date stands out in my head.
Also I know for a fact that the BOS tried to get Giant Supermarkets to purchase the land now owned by Wal-Mart in 2005-2006 when they were proposing to build off of Schneck Road. The BOS would not have done that if Wal-Mart already owned it
No disrespect but again, not entirely true. Giant Foods was a proposal but it was for the property across from the New Weis Market. Kings owned a portion of that land that sits in front of Schnecksville North and refused to sell so the project fell through. The research the actual attorney's hired by NW4SD proved the current land Wal-Mart now owns was sold to them in 2005. This was a huge cover-up the twp kept from the residents for one reason or another. The bottom line is that this situation is much greater than a Wal-Mart being built. It is something many of these residents did not want that wound up unearthing all this "corruption" going on in their town and probably many other 2 class twps. in PA. It's quite disturbing.

Please reread my earlier post (quoted below) and try to comprehend this time as I had already stated that it was planned at Schneck Road.

You cannot cover up County Records without help from someone in the County. Yes Wal-Mart may have made inquiries into the property, PA One Call, etc, but they still did not own it until December 2006

Some of the properties in question were owned by Western Lehigh Valley Land Corp., the same folks who sold the land to Wal-Mart.

I grew up eating paint chips off the window sill.
We played with the mercury from broken thermometers.
We (5 kids)had no toys so we got an old sock, filled it with screws and nails and played 'tag' by throwing it at each other.
Or we found rubber bands then got moms hairpins and spread them open and had 'hairpin' fights.
Now, we're all over 60 ,we all have both eyes, not a single illness amongst us. Don;t even got to the Dr.

You are making a bunch of pus8ies out of todays children.

What difference does it make?

Walmart is in Schnecksville.
It's only a matter of time till the store opens.
You don't like that - MOVE.
Oh forgot, you CAN'T move.
"Nothing but White Sustainable Development"
made that impossible for you to move.
Oh yeah, THAT and the fact that your McMansion is worth 1/2 of what it was worth one year ago.

Oh..........and , you have no drinking water.
Who do you think will buy your home?

You can thank
"Nothing but White Sustainable Develpoment"
(aka weis markets Inc) for turning your property into a superfund cleanup site.

Looks like you're stuck here> ha-ha-ha- ha-ha

We have public water here and we have no intentions to move. We have no problem with Wal-Mart moving in.

the old palmerton zinc land is for sale; new yorkers could move and build there; lots of land, big enough to build a playground for the kids whose parents move there.

...just a matter of time.

The walmart schecksville has been one cryptic cover-up since 2005.
This store was virtually 'built' two years ago.
Everything since then has been
'going thru the motions' just so you don't catch on.

Corruption? Cover-up? What are you smoking? Wal-Mart knew what the laws and regulations were when they spent $8 million for that property. Companies don't just spend that kind of money overnight and without knowing if they could build there or not. The Supervisors are just doing their job by allowing Wal-Mart to build on land that has been eyed for years for commercial development. Wal-Mart has rights as a taxpayer and property owner and anyone with half a brain would know that. You must be another one of those folks belonging to that group funded by Weis/King's.
