Not really - the sewage system/septic design was done for Wawa over five years ago. They need to hurry up.

I lived near there for 20 years. This intersection badly needs improvements. There is no room for a left turn lane so traffic backs up badly. The first problem is that the crumbling hotel is too close to the road. It doesn't have enough parking to succeed even if someone remodeled it, and I hope it's torn down.

The next problem is the intersection of 309 and Hoffmansville rd (by the drive-in). That intersection is dangerous and needs a light badly (and has for 10+ years). You could sit there all morning. We hate it, so half of us use the Kernsville intersection, which doesn't have enough room for a left turn lane.

In my opinion if you put a light at 309 and hoffmansville rd you'd solve half the problem. Then, tear down that crummy hotel and that supposedly historical house cattycorner to it. Then put in the wawa, which the area could definitely use. I can't believe it's been 5 years that this has been going on!

A Wawa will only cause more problems, not solve them. Every time a new Wawa is built it draws more traffic. I went by that intersection on a school bus going from the old Parkland high school to the Vo-Tech between 1989-1992. That old hotel/bar was there since I was a kid going to Kernsville in 1980-1981! They tore down the pool/computer shop on the right north side of the intersection and the old homes. Nemeth's Guns phone number is only one digit different than mine, I still live at home with my mom, her friend and brother. My father passed Mar. 8, 1986 a car hit him in Kuhnsville late at night by the Kuhnsville Inn Bar a mile from us. There's so much change going on in the Valley, and more and more people moving in.
