All of it for not reading the whole thing. These religious complaints were part of it since the bill passed. What gives ,someone didn't want to touch it til now or didn't read it.
I wont name the institutions that are exempt from medical coverage for children til age 26 but they are there. Probably the largest employer in the Valley.
Insider trading for elected officials to protect us from the same abuseses ? People go to jail for that kind of activity.
Church and religion is a racket . Agreed , so is war and politics.
As I said, most did read it. Many were involved in writing it. The only people saying that they didn't have time reading it are republicans. Because they want people to believe that the bill was pushed through too quickly for the bill to have been read. Problem here is, most of the bill was 6 months old when the final version made it to vote and the final version was nearly 2 weeks old when it got its first vote. The Senate version, in its entirety, was voted on by the House since there wasn't enough time to negotiate between the two versions. The Senate version was nearly 9 weeks old when the House got that vote. Anyone that can honestly say that they didn't read it, or have a staffer read it in 9 weeks, is a liar.
The reason the contraception issue is coming up now, isn't because someone finally read the bill, it's because that part of the bill became enforced this year. Just like the individual mandate and employer mandate aren't enforced until 2014. The other reason, Santorum is going to possibly be the GOP candidate, so the GOP is making a big push to make religion an important issue.
The largest employer in the Lehigh Valley is Lehigh Valley Hospital Center. Their insurance carrier does cover dependent children to the age of 26.

Reading back, that's what may be why the exemption is used ?
Living in your house ?
That's not an exemption, that's the law. If the child is living under the same roof as the covered parent they will be covered by the insurance. Also if they're a full time student not living under the same roof.

That's part of the Affordable Health Care Act. Not everyone with employer based insurance is in a union or has a contract.

Kinda what i've been saying . After college and living at home ,it's not covered. Call it a bye or exemption . Some institutions don't abide by that part of the affordable care act.

<quoted text>Shame on who? What don't you like about it? The fact that people have to buy their own insurance with the help of subsidies?(GOP plan). That large employers must provide basic insurance? That kids can be covered on their parents insurance up to the age of 26? The closing of the donut hole for seniors saving many of them thousands? The law that keeps insurance companies from dropping your coverage when you get sick? The law that allows people with preexisting conditions to actually buy insurance? Yeah, how controversial. Health insurance availability for all.
Risky business. If all the SS money would have been put in the stock market when it was down we'd now be rolling in tall cotton for generations to come. "that kids can be covered on their parents insurance up to the age of 26" . What other parts of your quoting of insurance plans are a little off ? We have to try and get it before we read the fine print ?

It applies to anyone with family insurance, employer based or family based, that has a child that is a full time student or living at home under the age of 26.

A child can be graduated and living at home. That child is covered by the Affordable care act if the family has health insurance. Name one institution that doesn't abide by the law.

Not true. My neighbor's 19 year old daughter is not a student and is fully covered while her mom works for the East Penn School district.
By law, they can't kick her off the policy until she moves out or gets insurance of her own through an employer, then in 2014 even if she gets insurance options from an employer, she can keep her moms coverage if that coverage is better or cheaper for her.

USA is becoming the new third world. Cheap labor and controlling people by keeping them sick. Lovely. Our consumer based economy is not such a model of emulation anymore.

Consumer based economics is a model of emulation. Too bad we haven't used it since the early 80's. We've been using supply side economics since the Reagan days and it's only caused us to develop the largest gap in wages disparity in the industrialized world.

Yes you are so right about that! they put ll this crap in our food, water and air so they keep us sick with limited health care and lots of medications so they benefit all the way around. Even if you pay for your healthcare they make the money that way then when you go to the doctor you pay a co pay and they tell you it's only a virus sends you home telling you to come back if you are not any better, another co pay and still not feeling well. Hell you are already not feeling well then they make you pay two and three times for one issue then you are broke and even sicker because they took all your money..

This whole healthcare thing is going to get a lot worse when you find out more of what is written in it. It doesn't matter what party you're in . If Obama gets elected for another four years he gets his chance to unload all his socialist leanings on the American people. The first four years are only a sample of where he's going. As a lame duck in the next four and out he gets a free pass to unload on us. Santorum or Romney are just in it for the money and are laughing all the way to the bank.

Where has Ricky worked since we kicked him out for a lessor in casey ? He's made more since he lost as Senator and a no job with pay as he campaigns full time. We won't have a dog in the fight to defeat Obama with any Rep candidates. I rate any in the DC beltway lower than Monica Lewinsky and just think , we get to vote for one of them.
