Wow. This is all interesting. This small east texas area it seems doesn't do much on supposedly high profile cases. If kelly w would've gone missing NOW, there would be more swiftness. I hate to read all your stories...there are sick people lurking around very close to us....one step or door away.
Brandy was one of my very best friends...her husband did kill her...beat her somehow and left her for dead. He did some time but I don't know the details...I lived far off due to military.
As far as everyone else....take the steps...tell what ya know and let's open these cases.

The sadest part of these stories is that IF THEY WERE HIGH PROFILE THEY'D GET SOME ATTENTION!!!! I contacted cold case devision a cpl weeks ago about a possible lead to the murder of my sister Norma Cooper, and well........they took the info but wont call me back to see if they got my e-mails, or have even attempted to follow up on thiis lead!!!!!

Linda, I knew Norma Mae for a short time when her and her husband stayed at my uncles. I saw her a few weeks before she moved to the motel. My father passed away recently and we developed a roll of film and there were two pictures of her and her husband taken at my uncles if you would care to have them. I do know the police were looking at two men. They had asked me if I had ever seen them when I saw her pic on the news and contacted them. You can email me at brynkat@sprint.blackberry.com

On 9/18/08, James Jason Lade, was shot and killed at his car lot in Longview. Three years later, this case is still unsolved. We, like someone from a previous post, were told that TX rangers could not be brought in unless invited by Longview PD. So frustrating to see how much could be done, but isn't. Seeing everyone else's posts about lost love ones with no answers definitely dampens my hope. Still praying for answers. Does anyone here know anything about this?

There are still 2 unsolved murders in Gilmer, Texas that is still of interest to me, one is Kelly Wilson, the other was my brother-in-law John Harris, who was shot in the face with a 20 guage shotgun and also in the chest. The sheriff's department in Gilmer tells me that they know who did the crime, they found the car where the killers transported the body to the Sabine River and dumped the body in.They know the killers but cant prove they did it, now come on whats up with that.
It just means bear that there was not enough retrievable, or viaiable evidence to convict them, there has to be enough evidence beyond a resonable doubt for a jury to convict the people and most of all to even go to trial, the evidence that was colledcted had to be collected the right way and carefully enough to not lose anything in the process, i believe family members are allowed to read the reports after the case has been closed for a time, before it can be reopened, they usually have people assigned to the unsolved murders department in some police departments, you could take a copy to them to see if they could reopen the case, there could be a possible way they could prove that it was not done correctly, but then you run into the double jeapordy rule in the state of Texas, which anyway it would be worth the try, if they were not sent to trial for it, if they were then that is where you will possibly run into the double jeapordy rule, its best to let them take a look at it anyway! Good Luck, its hard when these things just go like this.

my brother walked into my other brothers home to find him lying face down and beat to death. his face had been beaten in with an object. my brother left to go across the road to request help. as he returned bsck to aid his brother, he seen a man in the yard with blood all over his shirt sleeve and boots........my brother had been dead for about 2 hours when my other brother had arrived. the man with blood all over him has yet to have charges pressed let alone be arrested...even after law enforcement found my brothers safe had been broken into as well. the man with the blood all over him had recently been released from prison.he had been serving time for pointing a gun at. someone and firing it. as well as assult and battery. RIP my brother, we love you, and we know Jesus holds your hand................

My uncle was shot point blank and stuffed back into his truck at my place of work. A co-worker and my mother found him. Police dismissed it as a suicide bc his gun was lying in the floorboard. ETX police aint worth a DAMN.

He wouldn't shoot himself. And he wouldn't be able to do in his truck. Hes a big ole boy and the gun was on the wrong side. Nothing made sense. They didn't even investigate. It pisses me off, I bet if some of obamas family was shot and killed they'd find the guy in an hour.

RIP BIG JERRY BEARUP!!!!

I MISS YOU!!!!

Jess: I have been TEEDED off with the Texas system for years. I hate to hear about your Uncle. Obama and his family has nothing to do with this. Many cases are unsolved and we know where the problems are. It is up to the voters to vote these people out of office. I have been reading a book about JFK, RFK, MlK and how thing get covered up even in their MURDERS. All I can tell you is to standup and be a MAN when you know you are in the RIGHT. It worked for me when I lived in the area and it will work for you also. And don't trust any family or friends they will be the first to turn on you. LLLLLLLLLlaaaaaater. Willie

Linda if the person "Cop in Longview" is a Cop and answered your question he/she wouldn't have a job very long. Why will no none call you? Guest told you correct: Gilmer is full of SECRETS.

Four years have passed and we, the family and friends of Jason Lade still have no answers. Jason was brutally murdered at CL Auto Credit in Longview. There is a large financial reward for information leading to the arrest AND conviction of any and all persons involved in Jason's murder. Please contact the Gregg County Sherrifs office or Crime Stoppers.

Does anyone remember a corpse discovery in the trunk of a car at the Levee in the late 80's? What happened with that case?

Never heard of the Levee thing.

Don't remember the Lade case either. Did the Auto Credit have video surveillance? Hard to believe something like that could happen only 4 years ago and you have no answers or leads. I'm assuming the body was recovered? I would think there is some kind of DNA evidence. Did they have a tracking police dog try to at least follow scent to tell them where the murderer went? I have no idea what happened, so sorry if my suggestions are dumb.

Sorry for your loss.
