It is so very sad. I have read so many comments about the children not being restrained. But when a repeat offender on probation is allowed to drive a company truck (is this a family company?), and kill 3 innocent people, the problem is with the drunk driver. The father of the children was driving on the right side of the highway. His only reported violation was allowing his children to sleep in the back of the vehicle while unrestrained. The drunk driver's biggest offense? Driving drunk, with a passenger when she already had a DWI, among other serious charges. Not only did she take the life of a mother and her children; she left Mr. Patel with a void that can never be filled. And for what? Another night of partying? Hopefully that life sentence she is facing will knock her back into reality along with the people that have been enabling her and covering for her. And the wheels of justice turn slowly. But why was her probation not revoked? Why was she granted bond? There are so many questions already. I just hope she is really tried by a jury of her peers and not a jury of supporters who will try to "save her" by sending her to rehab. Where was rehab before this happened?

The problem is that now that she's out on bail, who else is she going to kill?? It's not like she's going to stop drinking and running the roads cause she obviously didn't learn it the first time she got caught. She should be rotting under that jail not out running the streets putting other people in danger.

Not restraining a child in a belt and or car seat is like allowing a baby to play with a knife! They are most likely going to get cut!!!

Disgusting comment.

A mother and two children would still be alive if someone hadn't made the stupid choice (again) to get loaded and behind the wheel.

Who was the brain-dead judge that didn't revoke her probation? This judge has put everyone in danger by letting this menace out of jail. I would like for this judge to explain the rationale for his failure to protect the public.

I would just about bet the farm that the Judge is friends with her Father. After all, he was not charged with anything and it was his truck. She was not charged with unauthorized use, so the Father should be held financially liable to the family she murdered. Its going to be interesting what she does next. She knows she is going to prison for life and has nothing to loose if she kills more innocent children. The Judge should be held responsible for allowing her back on the streets. It makes me sick that the Judges can be "bought" in this county !!
