Well, I'm glad someone finally said this. These people all walk around in scrub suits acting like they are doctors when they are the receptionist, aide, lvn, phlebotomist and maybe an RN. They all want to be the expert on everything yet went to their "tech" school as you say for 6 months, a year or so and now think they are an "expert." Maybe that's why they are making what they are making. As for the expert citing you on a mispelling, if you have enough time to go through a paragraph and look for mispellings you must not be bright enough to have an intelligent comment. I look at these things once in a while as the people here get so emotional over nothing.
Boy isn't this the truth. You can't tell the doctor from housekeeping anymore.

Wow, how impressive. You read paragraphs to find one grammatical error. Is your life really this boring? LOL

As a former practice manager, I have a college degree, have made over 100K a year and have done very well. I don't know your limited education and skills sets, but clearly they are below mine with your lack of knowledge in the healthcare setting. As for the employees, if they do not like where they are working then they need to have the balls to pick up and leave and not be a whining bunch of aides/LVN's/RN's that want to play doctor thinking they know everything, as most do. Most need to shut the hell up, do their jobs and be grateful they have a job. Otherwise they need to go and see where their little "technical" degree will carry them. Clearly not far as they are all staying right where they are at otherwise they would hop to a 100K job tomorrow. Face it, your all just a bunch of glorified butt wipers

It's always a disgruntled employee that likes to post stuff like this and then stir the pot. Go find another job, if you can. Quit wasting your time posting stuff that everyone knows to be false.

I worked for Diagnostic Clinic back around 1980 and enjoyed every minute of it. If your job's "pay" is all that makes you happy, then you will probably stay miserable your whole life. You have to enjoy going to work everyday, or it's just not worth it. If you don't like working there, then leave.

My My someone STRUCK A NERVE !
Jason has such a High Regard for LVN'S and RN'S
He has a degree, I doubt his ass would make it through RN School.
I admire all LVN's and RN's they put in the years and tons of hours to get there. More than a BS (Bull Spit for you Jason) degree.
He has never seen a 100k with his so called skill set.
Hospitals are over paid suck up all the health care dollars and most Doctors over overpaid.
Too many tests too much BS need to get back to the Basics.

These posts are very interesting, I am a medical assistant student and am extremely interested in working with dcol. I hope to become and RN one day and dcol looks like a place where I can grow. Also for someone complaining about a payscale of $11-$17 you obviously don't know how good you have it! I would love to make that much. I used to make $12 at a top resort in austin, but when the economy fell, so did my job (I was a facialist). You are replaceable and upset at things you can't control. do a good job and be grateful you have one, or leave!

I'm sorry...Mr. Butt Wiper RN. Registered Nut. For your information honey...you can go through RN school in a year and a half or take longer in other programs..if you are slow. I work with RN's everyday. There is nothing special to being an RN, an LVN, a lab tech or any other position if you have the drive and dedication and that is what you want to do. Want to play doctor and dress like one then go to school and earn it. You can't tell housekeeping from the RN's anymore because you all want to play Doctor in scrub suits. So, focus on your RN pay in the 30K's and be happy with it. If it was so hard to be an RN you would be making a hell of alot more. The executives in the healthcare setting make the 100K plus because they have to make the hard decisions. You make the 30K's because you follow our direction. Lead...follow...get it. Your the follower.

I agree with you a 100%. I have noticed that when some people disagree with a position they want to run spell check on your posting. How funny. I see no ebonics as the one poster stated except for her lack of a meaningful comment. Clearly another individual with a tech degree that got offended by what she makes in comparison to you and others. I agree, if they want to play doctor in the hospital they need to earn the MD and stop trying to look and act like one when they do not have the education or the right to even write a prescription. LOL

If you really wanted to use proper English you would spell out "how is" versus using an apostrophe Bradley.

You all posting "im better then u" crap IS VERY IMMATURE! Who cares! This is what "our" health care has gotten to and its sad! It takes every employee DCOL hires to make it go from the janitors the lab radiology NURSES patient.care attendants to the DOCTORS! If ur in healthcare for the money u r the one bringing health care to its knees... MAN UP stop complaining about what she or hes doing or how much they r making, if u dont go to work everyday and say " today, i shall make a patient or family member feel as if they are part of my family and help them in any way i can" then u need to clock out and dont come back and dont work in health care....

Healthcare is in a mess because of the nut case President Barrack Obama trying to socialize it. People get into healthcare for a variety of reasons as do people for all other professions. Just because a person is in healthcare does not mean they should not be able to make a higher than average income. If your not working for the most money that you can make then your an idiot. People that post the sob story postings are usually the ones that never made anything of themselves and want to down those that are successful. Get a life and pay your own way like so many of us do. The Barrack supporters that want everything GIVEN TO THEM are the ones that are causing healthcare and the country to go down the toilet. That is 99% of the countries problem.

If you don't care then why are you posting here. Evidently someone hit a nerve on you. You sound like a liberal democrat. Our healthcare system is in the shape it is in because of liberal democrats trying to give it all away for free to every deadbeat in the US that does not want to work yet has a nice new government cell phone, government check, government medicaid... You can find many of them at the liquor store buying booze and cigarettes, yet they cannot pay for their children, healthcare, housing, food, etc. Your probably one of these people aren't you?

Wow, a bitchy nurse....your one that needs to be out of healthcare. Then again, most of you are bitchy. Most can't do what they tell the patient to do, like eat healthy, quit smoking, loose weight, etc. Most are a bunch of want to be doctors. Obamacare will fix that though. Most nurses will loose their jobs as hospitals have to cut back services and get reduced payments from the government. Who cares about the patient? Well it's not the government or bitchy.
