Marvel at Mammoth Cave

Lechuguilla is a fascinating cave but it's also not open to public viewing. And Mammoth Cave doesn't boast a large amount of travertine formations, but that's not the only thing that makes a cave interesting. Mammoth Cave has huge hosts of gypsum formations, but most of them aren't on tour routes because gypsum is fragile and easily hurt by human contact.
Not trying to get into quintessential Topix bashing or slander, I'm just personally a fan of Mammoth Cave and wanted to outline some of the cool things it does have going for it.

Tourists don't get to see the eyless shrimp and as you stated the most interesting part of the cave isn't open. That part being the old Crystal Cave and Floyds Lost Passage. As a tourist attraction Mammoth Cave basically sucks. That's what this was about.

The entire world had issues just like edmonson county. I have only one negative comment about it and that is the fact that it refuses to grow bigger. Small towns are nice but inconvenience is not. Edmonson County is one of the poorest counties in the state. The money spent on Mammoth Cave goes to the federal government and not the people of the county. It does nothing for the county because no one wants to see anything outside of the park. Do you think anyone wants to see a bunch of ratty ass houses in Brownsville or a bunch of meth heads?

Would'nt you have the sour-ass at the world if the government had fed your whole family, paid for you being born, paid for your raisings, sent you to school,and paid for your education, and you were so damn fat that no man will have you.
