Republicans all over the country are trying to outlaw abortion or severely restrict it while increasing their gun supplies. Guess the future in the Red States will be more shotgun weddings, like the good ol' days. Go figure! Even though Michigan voted overwhelmingly for President Obama TWICE, Republican gerrymandering has our state ruled by Republicans who are now trying to allow doctors to deny healthcare for ANYTHING they find morally objectionable, including proscribing contraception. If they could, they'd probably ban masturbation. Where are all the libertarians when you need them????? Even Rand Paul wants to ban abortion!

It does make one wonder where all the libertarians went... As none has really appeared any where in the recent past or present.

Japan's Judicial System Is Not Corrupt But Perfectly Fake

Japan's problem is not corruption.

The ruling class is always serious.

But the real problem is that the ruling class is serious in maintaining the fake and fraudulent system for ever.

yet so often, those unwanted pregnancies turn into people the state has to support their entire lives...meaning i lose my freedom of choice in having to pay for them.

Well facts and reality are not their friend. The truth of their position is really one of hypocrisy. So what all that is left is just more of the same stupidity in the hopes that the low information voter wont notice. But as the election showed that wasn't working to well either.

Unless 47% of the vote for Mitt Romney was the low information voter. in which case the republican/tea party really is in more trouble than first thought.

that was the topic. i support all the known techniques for stopping unwanted pregnancies that we have. funny how it is so often those that say they want to stop abortions that block these methids. do you? or do you want to assuage your concience by making abortion illegal, knowing full well it won't stop abortions?

I support all types of birth control. What I don't support is killing for no other reason than you don't want the life that has alreated been created. Laws don't and wont ever stop all illegal activity, should we abolish all laws because of that?

we have plenty of birth control, what we don't have are people who really know how to use it or exactly how effective it is under real life circumstances...yet people block those education programs across this country...

Obama eats embryos for breakfast. If you drink a Obama Pepsi full of Obamafetus, you know what I'm talking about.

Block these programs, my ass. Our schools don't teach sex ed any more. Instead, they promote sexual freedom, instant gratification and self indulgence. If it feels good, go ahead and do it, just make sure you use protection (and many high schools make condoms available for free).
I have two daughters and you certainly aren't going to tell me what they were and weren't taught.
When my oldest was in eleventh grade, I noticed many of her friends were wearing similar looking beaded bracelets. I asked her about those several times, and finally found out that those beads represented sexual acts these girls had performed, different colored beads for different acts, and girls everywhere were wearing them proudly.
And believe me, I'm not making this up.
Most of my daughters friends were on birth control by the tenth and eleventh grade. It got so you could tell from a mile away by the weight gain and enormous...um, mamory glands. One of those friends had a breast reduction last year (aged twenty one) and was angry that no one told her this could happen due to oral birth control (she also developed a serious acne problem).
The three of us girls watched a documentary a few weeks ago called "Sexy Baby". Every parent should watch it, as it addresses how sexualized our children are and how image obsessed young teens are, especially with Facebook and other social media.
The documentary was done by a feminist who wrote book on women's sexual freedom some years ago and is now faced with the difficulty of raising daughters under the banner of celebrating and indulging in whatever makes you feel good. Watching these thirteen year olds getting ready to go to a Lady GaGa concert, trying on different outfits and rejecting them for not being sexy or slutty enough made even my early twenty-something daughters wince.
The womens movement, of which I was once a proud member, has managed to elevate sluttiness to something admirable, and yet we expect teens with raging hormones in our instant gratification society to do the adult, responsible thing and say "no, we shouldn't" when they aren't prepared for a sexual encounter?
It's not what we're not teaching our younger generation, it's what we are teaching them long before they're mature enough to understand the multitude of consequences.
