Are you kidding me?! I already spend $400+ every month in gas just to commute back & forth to work. Now the state wants to charge me for each mile I drive as well. This is absolutely absurd!!!

Just another example of Washington State Governments inability to adhere to the same rules as the taxpayer of living within a budget & income of the State and desperately looking at any reason for over taxation of it's citizens. Our illustrious legislature and State Government has repealed the 2/3s vote by the people on taxation, and then brought in the court to have the last one overturned. The people have voted NO not once but two or three times. So much for voting. Enough said about this overtaxed state and the respect they have lost by me. Taxation by the miles driven is just another typical example.

Well, I hope this hits the Prius-tools extra hard, LOL. Nothing is a better way to identify a liberal than seeing someone inside one. Even a "I love Dianne Feinstein" bumper sticker is less likely to identify someone as a hard core lib, LOL

I agree..what the heck is the gas tax about? Now they want to charge us more? This will kill me and my career. I'm on the road 50 percent of my office time. It can be over 250 miles per week. State is safe...I am a individual consultant and won't pay unemployment. Another unemployed individual, with wife and children, that loses their house because the state gets greedy. I hope the state it happy! Bastards! Bastards! Bastards!

I agree. We are already paying for the gas tax so what does our leadership in government want? More revenue due to their inability to live within their, State government to award freebies to get reelected, means? Enough is enough! We, the citizens, can't take any more! It's time to think of those that actually pay the taxes versus those that don't. Enough is enough! Believe me, we can't take any more!

Well.....they did say they would do away with the gas tax if they implement the per mile fee.

We all know "they" wouldn't lie to us./s

Definitely not cool. At least the gas prices here in Seattle are lowering even as we speak. http://forceboost.com

There are so many people living below poverty do you really think this is going to help them or anyone living on fixed incomes, minimum wage jobs and I could keep going but you get the picture. People don't travel as is because they can't afford to. This is ridicules!

They've got to implement it first. Are you going to allow the state to put a GPS in your car so they can monitor your driving?

Hell no.

There is no stop to how much the politicians want to bleed us. All I can say is, develop independnce in everything as you can. Our leaders are <mostly> sick, or it appears so.
