I live in western Wa and it is so cloudy. Basically you get half of July and August for nice weather, the other half of the year is crap.(expect 2-3) days of sun per month. Eastern WA is okay, but western WA sucks. Plus on top of all of that King county is so gay and liberal. They're the reason marijuana is legal now. I'm so glad im moving to orange county in SoCal IT SUCKS HERE

I personally love washington state, not all places are so greatm but SEATTLe is the best city in the world in my opinion
we are free of gangs
free of racial tension
our city is mostly peacful for the most part
we have the best water system in the US, we get all our water straight from the clouds.
pot is legal
prejudism is low
we are a go green state
we recycle.
WASHINGTON STATE ROCKS!

of coarse we are all entitled to our own opinions, but like i said if you don't like washington state, no need to complain pack your bags and get out

I think many of you are spoiled, and would'nt have a clue about life in most other states.....Move to L.A. from Seattle, then tell me what you think?

That pretty much sums it up, the looming, not so dormant, gargantuan and beautiful mountain that will one day wipe everyone out for many miles around. Then there will be nobody left to complain about the gloomy skies.

Been to both several times, LA is worst by far.
I love Wa state. It has many many beautiful places. But, like all states, it is the people that muck it up. If you can avoid the cities, Washington is great.

I was attempting to stay on topic in the thread with my first post.

Florida is flat as a pancake, so unfortunately there are no volcanoes, but I hear there's a fifty-mile-wde gas bubble under the Gulf that could wipe out the state with a killer tsunami. Then there will be no aging New Yorkers with pony tails left to live out their Cali hippy fantasies on the cheap. As for gloomy skies, try blazing sunshine 365 days a year. A flamingo would go stark staring mad.

Then move back to the state you were born in. We are conservative here and wish to remain that way, the pesky liberals trying to ban everything like you are not welcome.
Conservative sounds good to me!

I've lived in Washington, California, and Virginia for 6-10 years each, visited 30+ US states, lived in Central America, and traveled the world....and I'M CHOOSING TO MOVE BACK TO WASHINGTON and am so excited!!:)

Top Reasons?
1. Breathtaking Scenery (What do you look at in morning traffic on your way to work? A volcano? Didn't think so.)
2. Outdoorsy people (my best friend on the east coast didn't know how to ride a bike until last summer...umm?)
3. Slower pace of life (partly due to the weather and the fact that you can wear jeans to work)
4. Amazing food (we have a whole festival in October just to celebrate salmon)
5. Rain (newsflash: some people LIKE rain.)

Yes there are a few cons, but every city had it's issues. It all comes down to what you are used to, and no one should have to apologize for their opinion or own experience. BUT by all means, if you hate it, please leave and stop raining on our parade...haha.

My family has lived in Washington since the 19th century and we never EVER moved out this a what a real Washingtonian is, and the weather is nice nice in nice in the summer except for this year. Many people people may people may have moved the 'real' Washingtonians out but I shall keep my state pride.

to the people of Seattle, Washington, On the brief Hot summer weather: You All, Should Come Live In Texas, where the temperatures, have been known, to reach 115 (yes, 115 Actual degrees!) degrees, in the summertime! HOT! sometimes the Texas temperatures, have been known, to reach close to 120 something plus! HOT!(yes, 120 something plus, my little dark drizzle protected Seattle, Washington little dark drizzle people!) HOT! me has lived here, in Texas, like, two times now, and it gets HOT here! and that's just the HEAT part, Not the Dallas, Texas POLLUTION part. the Dallas, Texas POLLUTION part, in All of it's dark yellow glory, just adds, to the MISERY, of the HOT Texas summers! and yes, the POLLUTION coming out of Dallas, Texas, IS actually a dark yellow HAZE, that chokes you, and U are like: HELP, I feel like I'm choking to death, oh HELP ME, please? Texas is a good state and all that, but oh, that Texas HEAT, it's a Killer! it's just MISERABLE. and then there's the CUTE little fire ants, but I Wouldn't Suggest, Playing With Those cute little fire ants, because they aren't cute little fire ants, at all! and your lips and throat dry up, and when your lips and throat dry up, especially in the HOT Texas summertime, U feel like U are actually dying.

Every one of these complaints are so invalid and ill-informed, it's fucking laughable! You guys seriously believe that it just rains here all the time? Clearly none of you have ever been to central or eastern Washington. That area consists of high desert, the east slopes of the cascades that are more similar to the Rockies of Montana than anything else, and summer temperatures up to the 100's, winter lows to below zero. That's what makes Washington State one of the best places to live, WE HAVE IT ALL! Rainforest, coastline, high desert, low desert, and some of the most gorgeous mountains in the world. With these come every outdoor activity you can find in any other state, LITERALLY every one. Fucking morons. Oh, and dude that said California is the best, why? NorCal rules, yes, but if you're talking about SoCal you must be just as jaded as the rest of those boring drones. Only thing SoCal has going for them is the nice weather.
You've got it ass backwards. Born in Aberdeen by the way. First off I have lived here most of my life and I fucking hate it here too i can't wait to kiss this fucking rainy hipster yuppie infested shit hole behind me. Yeah, So Cal has a superficial side to it in LA but at least they admit it.Seattle acts like it's so indie and underground yet in reality it's a yuppie cess pool.
Also LA has a much higher population that Seattle and no it's not just because of it's proximity to Mexico but that does bring me to another point. As a native american male i hate it when people say Seattle is diverse. Compared to where?! Utah?! The city is 69% white if that's diverse I'm the king of Siam.
I've even been in some of the "Historically ethnic areas" and the only ones that were remotely interesting as far as other cultures go was Chinatown. also really funny how Seattleites think Rainier Avenue and West Seattle is "Ghetto" yeah your fucking houses in a cul de sac is ghetto just because there's some graffiti around it? What a joke. Go to Chicago then get back to me. What passes for poor people in Seattle is a joke that must be the easiest town ever to be broke in.
Also as for Seattle's low population many Washingtonian retards act like that's part of why it's great but the logic is small towns are like small cities. They suck because if it really had so much going for them people would want to live there! Face it this state have very little history it wasn't even a state until 1889 and Arizona became a state later than that and still has a richer history than Washington! This state was "Founded" by a bunch of inbred miners.
Also it's Nor Cal that sucks like say Frisco?? That's a lot like this cloudy shit hole. So Cal is the place to be and as for your dessert and mountain logic, that's all in California yet bigger so that argument was bullshit too. "That's what makes Washington State one of the best places to live, WE HAVE IT ALL! Rainforest, coastline, high desert, low desert, and some of the most gorgeous mountains in the world."
California has more and better ones. Mojave desert puts any shit hole in Eastern wa to shame. The redwood Forrest is better than any forests in Washington. And as for weather when it's hot please Washingtonians bitch when it's 70 degrees! Also full of a bunch of spineless passive aggressive cowards. At least in NY, LA or Miami if somebody doesn't like you, you'd be the first to know.
I can see why you'd defend it so hard as like most Washingtonians you have probably never lived any place else. Well i have and as soon as i have the money to do it, this faggy Starbucks town can eat my dust.

just the same thing Californians do everywhere they flee ,, cause they are the problem and they live their whole lives in self righteous denial and do the same thing in the next state,,just look anywhere they flee their "awesome state" to..same ol bankrupt crime ridden, trashed out crime ridden, race baiting, fear infested police state. like escape from l.a .. Californians need to be quarantined to live in their own proud mess.. instead they spread like a plague of locusts,
