I want to warm everyone who's thinking about going to Ulta in Tukwila for hair services. Angela at that salon did such a horrible job on my daughter's hair color that now, 10 days later, it's virtually gone. She obviously didn't use filler, but is attempting to blame my daughter for using the wrong shampoo (bought there for color treated hair) or using water that was too hot. I noticed it slipping off the day after her first shampoo, but never dreamed it was going to come out completely. I was in denial. Instead of making it right and keeping a customer, she showed what "service" they provide. I spoke with Jeanine, the Assistant Manager, who said she was going to "check the schedule", she mentioned Friday. But instead of Jeanine coming back on, she put Angela on. Angela who refused to take responsibility. I asked to speak with the manager. Angela said I had spoken with her manager. Then I said I needed to talk with the District Manager. Then she said I'd actually spoken with the Assistant Manager (Jeanine) and she'd have the Manager call me in the morning. She'd already lied to me, so I said "fine" gave her my info, then called corporate. The guy at corporate called the store and Angela lied again to cover her butt and said I was swearing! OMG! She's so bad, I'm going to have a t-shirt made up to warn everyone!

I am the Salon Manager at Ulta still and when this occured, this woman did swear at my employee Angela and did not purchase professional shampoo. She got her hair colored pink, blue and purple, these are unatural colors and as Angela explained to both her daughter and her husband/ clients father, unatural colors fade very quickly when not taken care of properly. Angela is no longer with Ulta and has not been for over a year due to not being able to handle clients like this who don't want to pay for services they received properly and want everything for free or at a discounted price. This service took Angela 4 hour and the woman was only charged $200, in my opinion that is a great deal, I sat there as she explained to the daughter and her father about at home care very thoroughly however it was obviously disregarded. The woman called 2 weeks later talking about how the color had faded, that is absolutly a normal time frame for unatural hair color to fade with the help of inproper home use. To top it all off these people didn't even tip Angela for all her hard work. So shame on you, Like I said it has been well over a year since this occured and Ulta Salon is a great salon for guest and employees so come and see me and we will take good care of you.

In order to have any credibility, Sarah, utilize spell check ...also print, edit and wait 24 hours before you post a response! Your post has made all the Ulta Salon managers appear as undereducated, inarticulate and hostile!

Ms. Born, You get more bee's with honey. Be kind to Angela . Corective color is more dificult than you think. If you want great result's for your daughter , go to a salon , ask to see the color swatches . Pick a peermanent color line and go with a desired level in the g series "Gold" Redkin fusion 6g or 7g are beautiful. after that pick any shade your daughter desires.. Now go in be nice and get your daughters hair straight .
P.S. Make sure she uses profesional shampoo. No protiens just humectents.
You also need to utilize spell-check and work on verbiage. If her daughters' hair was as "bad" as you proclaim~the stylist should have declined the service! So, where was the salon manager?

Ha ha!That's funny. It is a shame the Ulta team members cant spell correctly.Maybe they have been inhaling too much products they want you to buy or are just so busy applying too much cosmetics on their faces to even notice they cannot spell correctly.

The "Ulta Team Member" has a point. How did you even pass state required tests ...when you can't spell ...why should your "team member" back you up for a $200 haircolor that shouldn't have been done in the first place? This according to you ..you said that the girl's hair had previous box color!

Ulta in Middletown, NY also has no idea how to color hair. I had 3 different stylists and each bad mouthed the other about the way the previous one treated my hair. So much time and money spent there for terrible results. Finally stopped going there due to there bad performance and back stabbing that ultimately made me the victim of bad hair.

I suggest Ms. Born and her daughter spend some time volunteering somewhere, such as a homeless or domestic assault shelter, or give that $200 to Haitian Earthquake relief. It may help them both realize there are certainly more important things in life than a professionally performed purple and pink pompadour!

Just be quiet..all of you. What makes me more upset is the fact an Ulta Salon Manager posted her location and then bad mouthed the client. Keep your business to yourself. That is the problem with people today, you post your business all over the internet not thinking you can't be known.

I have worked for Sarah and let me tell you, she is a good and kind human being..somthing I am sure you are utterly unfamiliar with, and as far as that piece of garbage salon manager in bothell goes, i am quite certain that she is not a mensa candidate....i, however, doubt that either of you are familiar with what mensa is....spell check?? is this 2nd grade?? bringing up spelling is completely irrelevant to this topic and just demonstrates how ulta's management (besides Sarah) are less intelligent than a rhesus monkey...

Wow! What I would like to know is, what kind of manager comes on a website and leaves comments in order to start an argument?! I wouldn't go to this salon simply because of this! The salon has a new manager, some new hair stylists and aesthetician!

I was hesitant to visit a salon in a store front (especially after reading the previous reviews) but was pleasantly surprised by the quality, services, and pricing in the salon. I find their services comparable (if not better) to spa Nordstrom or Gene Juarez at 1/2 the price. The salon in Ulta is now my one stop shop for facials, cuts, color, foils, scalp treatments and maintenance of my hair extensions.
