POLICE OFFICIALS HAVE RANDOM WAYS TO SUBDUE THE PUBLIC.THEY ARE TRAINED TO PROTECT ,BUT YET THEY USE FIRST COURSE OF ACTION TO BE A TASER GUN?OTHER REPORTS SAY JOHN WAS DISTRAUGHT,WHY NOT PEPPERSPRAY THE VICTIM INSTEAD?CLEARLY YOU DON'T USE THE CRUELEST ACT BY SHOCKING A DISTRAUGHT MAN WHO WAS REPORTED SEARCHING FOR HELP?EVEN DEATH ROW HAS A TRIAL FIRST BEFORE THE ELECTRIC CHAIR.LAW ENFORCEMENT HAS BECOME WHAT WE AS TAX PAYERS PAY THEM TO APPREHEND.BUT I'M SURE OUR TAXES WILL PAY THE OFFICERS SEVERANCE PAY.JOHN WAS SURELY A FAMILY MAN WHO DID NOT DESERVE WHAT HE GOT,AT AGE 27 CARDIAC ARREST IS NOT THE WAY TO GO .MY DEEPEST SYMPATHIES GO TO THE FAMILY.A FAMILY IN LAKE CITY JUST WON A CASE BECAUSE HER SON WAS ALSO KILLED AS A RESULT OF TASER BY LAW OFFICIALS

YOU should try getting all the facts before you start spreading your uneducated opinion for all to see.

I hired Mr. Johnson shortly after my husband died to sod my backyard and to put a sprinkle system in. I made the mistake of paying him up front, because I thought he was a young man trying to start a business to support his family. Mr. Johnson conned me out of $3800.00 and always had an excuse for not doing the work until one day he just disappeared. I am sorry for his family, but he was a thief and a liar.As far as being a family man, maybe you should contact his last mistress.I would put her name in here, but I don't want to ruin her marriage. The police officer should not be punished for doing his job.

I am so sorry that you can justify his stealing. I was very nice to Mr. Johnson and gave him the benefit of the doubt which was my mistake. He caused me much grief at a time when I was going through the loss of my husband of 40 years. Dying does not make a lousy person a good person. You are what you are.

Well I am glad that he took such good care of your daughter when she was a baby because he didn't do a very good job taking care of the ones he fathered.

i know who you are... and mr. johnson never stole anything from you. you were too dumb to make your own choices, and you paid mr. johnson for the job he did... and he was half through it when you changed you're mind. so before you come online and write about him, you should really get your story straight. and mr. johnson never had an affair, he was happily married himself. and if you got nothing else to say, i advise you to stay offline, you cold hearted hag!

Ok obviously, you are the one that is mistaken. The nice lady he STOLE from is a friend of mine from work. How did he do the job when he never even bought the materials? Maybe he left them at your house and did your yard, cause he sure as hell didn't do hers.

As far as him being "happily married" you're mistaken again. Trust me, he ran around on his old lady and the smarter people in Middleburg already know it. There were several witnesses to his little extra curricular activities. Ask around, I'm sure you'll get the facts.

I'm not sure who you are and actually I'm glad I don't because you have no right to come on here and talk trash about something you know nothing about! The reason I know you have no clue what your talking about is because there are 2 other women besides myself that have a child or children with John and not one of us would get on here and say anything of that nature!!John had his problems as we all do and he done things wrong but have any of you that are coming on here running his name in the dirt ever heard that saying,"He who hath no sin shall cast the first stone."Anyone of you that hasn't ever done anything wrong you are the only ones that have the right to say these things!!!That's not going to happen because the only person to ever walk the earth that could do that died on the cross a long time ago for all of us,(so that includes John)so in my opinion the only person that has the right to pass judgement on John,he met a few months ago!But just so you know I'll tell you like I tell my son everyday of his life John loved his babies with everything in him and would have done anything that he could for his children at any given time!I know how good of a person John was and I'm very sorry that you guys never knew the man that I did because you really missed out but I really hope that none of you ever have the nerve to make any of these coments to my son or any of his other children and I will just leave it at that!!John will live on in my heart forever!!!!!!!

He was a troubled man and was in and out of trouble this was true. He just could not find that place to find peace with himself. He loved his family and now let him rest in peace. We will forever love and miss you John.

I assure you from expirence that the Orange park police lie and use over the top force and even shoot un-armed men and then make phony reports of sucide and a mysterious hidden hands how was that hand so well hidden when the officer shot most of it apart with a shot gun at close range and those of you who know about guns shot guns spray a pattern of bullets why did the rest of them hit his shoulder you know like someone who had their hands up or maybe it was the mysterious boot prints left all over someone after being shot wasnt enought a brutal beating was nesscary too so make sure to thank them everytime you see your friendly orange park police officers

I never knew John but living here in the burg, I've heard quite a bit about him. It seems to me as though he earned himself a tarnished reputation. I understand he sniffed cocaine for a living, stole food from Pizza Hut and KFC, stole his Mother's credit card, "hawked" his parent's tractor(for drug money), and fathered four illegitimate children from three different women. The man was incapable of sustaining full time employment. His greatest legacy was F!#cking and sniffing. Does this sound like stand-up character? Not to me! A family man? He couldn't even support his own children!!! He was high on cocaine the day his first child was born. His family has the picture to prove it and his sweaty, dilated pupil self.

I extend my deepest sympathies to his innocent children and surviving family members, who I know struggle with his loss daily. They live in torment every day and that is something no individual should have to burden.

However, John was by all accounts a lost soul, who lacked the necessary guidance required for battling his demons. This is unfortunate for him and those who loved him.

The only problem I have is the fact that his family blames the Police Dept for John's death when in fact John created his own demise through his own destructive behavior.

I was not there to witness the crime. But I suspect that John, high on cocaine, was most likely behaving in a most belligerent manner. He was stabbed with a screwdriver by a fellow drug addict. This presumably compounded his reported erratic behavior.

If the police officer encountered difficulty calming John and/or feared for his own safety then perhaps a taser was the only viable option at the time.
Right or wrong, the officer on duty had clearly followed policy and procedure. Perhaps we as citizens don't agree with that policy but most of us don't agree with illicit drug use either. I'm afraid to say that if the taser didn't kill John, his destructive lifestyle would have.

I understand that John's friends and family choose to remember him in the most favorable manner possible but seriously, posthumous honor will change nothing. John was a liar, a cheat, a thief, and gigolo. John's family should know best, since they are often busy assessing the character of everyone else! John's family is always trying to preach the importance of taking care but John didn't even know how to take care of himself or his own children! It's about time his family acknowledge this and John for the louse that he was and move on!!!! John got what he deserved...he brought it on himself!
